Vietnam vet targeted on bus for wearing MAGA hat

we know, i just said

freedom of peach for trumpets is good, freedom of speech for all others is bad

Harassment and intimidation aren't protected by the 1st Amendment. Anyone who tries to say they are is an un-American piece of ****.

You think free speech means others aren't allowed to criticize your speech.

Harassment and intimidation aren't free speech. That behavior is the antihesis of free speech.

WTF does this guy being a vet have to do with anything?

As to the real story, wearing a symbol of hate, don't expect to not get called out on it.

I do not condone violence but it is important to stand up such horrific displays.

Only fools think that calling something "a symbol of hate" makes it so. If the cap fits .............

:lamo

Thats the WORST version of "oh ****....he caught me...I DO look like a ****ing hypocrite...quick...call him something and run like hell!!!" I have ever seen!

:lamo

Ok, I'll bite, what hypocrisy?

Run from what?

You are doing the same thing, being a TRumpet without thought.

harrasment and intimidation have something to do with this story?

Is this one of those, "I can kill a black kid because I think a black kid will kill me?"

It's attitudes like yours that require people like that man to take a defensive stance.

Get over your hatred. Your life will be more enjoyable.

True. Although do preachers of hate deserve an enjoyable life?

You didn't watch the video. :lamo

But that's not the only thing you folks object to. Liberals boycott something and conservatives rant about free speech. Liberals call up advertisers on conservative shows and tell them not to advertise there, conservatives rant about free speech. And here we have the president of the United Goddamned States saying maybe the FCC should look into Saturday Night Live being "unfair" to him. Yeah. Let's have the government police the content of comedy shows to make sure it's fair to the President. Real free speech advocacy there.

Your logic is absent. Your agenda is in full view.

Question, if it is not a symbol of hate, why was he confronted about it?

I see it more as a symbol of greed, ignorance and unconscious racism.

How do you perceive it?

1. Leftists always excuse their conduct with the lie that "everybody does it."
2. Not to the degree that Leftists do. Not remotely.
Leftists excel qualitatively and quantitatively.

How many Republicans were arrested for threatening to assassinate Barack Obama in EIGHT MISERABLE YEARS?
Provide links evidencing any claim you make.

The number of Hollywood Ignorati and other Leftists threatening assassination is a long, sickening list.
The college lecturer in northern California was arrested and prosecuted for attempted murder after hitting several Trump supporters over the head with a six pound bike lock.
Antifa is YOUR bunch of thugs. We have nothing like them after eight failed years of Bozo.
Incidentally, all criticisms of Obama were branded "racism." Not condemnation of a socialist who hated America, "racism."

It's not only in the US that leftists strut and preen and pretend that they occupy the moral high ground all by themselves. Their trade-mark brand of arrogant intolerance is offensive wherever it appears.

You didn't watch the video. :lamo

I did.

But I watched with intellect, you watched with bias.

What we heard was a gun who looked to be a bit biased and even radical (if you noticed the nonsense in the background) perceiving that he was harassed.

So we don't know what happened, do we?

Well, we do know that no violence occurred in spite of the "vet" thinking it would.

So a rational person would summarized that nothing much happened.

Likely one person wore a symbol of hate and another man told him his symbol of hate was offensive.

Did I miss anything?

Show me where your comments around the poor Indian Vietnam veteran attacked by that mean old teenage boy were all prefaced with "why is his status as a Vietnam veteran relevant?"

nothing arrogant bout it.

it is pretty clear that we have a classic struggle between good and evil going on and as a neutral person I can tell you it is obvious that Trumpism is evil.

Because, of course, the conservatives working themselves up in this thread hold themselves personally responsible every time another conservative does something wrong...

I do not recall DP conservatives leaping to the defence of wrongdoers. Few or none are suffused with hatred like all too many of the leftists.

you just refuse to break with tribe

as such you cannot even discuss a subject

You did slip up though as you are suggesting that two wrongs make a right

At 10am, did all the Russians move to this board from another?

Still desperately TRYING (but failing) to avoid your own hypocrisy. Hell..and to think...I was initially giving you the benefit of doubt.

:lamo

It's a stupid hat. I see all kinds of stupid hats every day. When I see them I barely even register them as I continue about my day. Again, it is just a stupid hat.

Why is the cap "stupid"? I'm not even a Yank and I want America to be great. Iyo does that make me stupid too?

I object boycotts based on their stupidity, not that it isn't free speech.

You folks think free speech should come with concequences. There are no words to explain the stupidity of that idea.

I see it - the MAGA cap - as expressing a desire for the USA to be great. As it happen I share that desire but even if I did not I would not be so intolerant of any opinions that do no fully coincide with my own.

So "my agenda is in full view". What do you suppose my "agenda" to be?

Your 'question' is reminiscent of one asked by Jew haters. "If Jews are not bad people why did the Germans kill so many"? It's always a cheap trick to twist the blame onto the victim of an attack.

Why do you think 1 of the agitators ran off the bus as soon as the bus stopped once he heard police were being called? And the other one apologized before the police got there? Do you think this is relevant at all?

Amen, Brother. Amen.
