I could not imagine living in such a state of delusional fear.

Remember Trump was supposed to have started WW3 by now and blown up the world. Trump was supposed to have crashed the market by now and we were all going to lose everything. Trump was supposed to be impeached by now for collusion with Putin to rig the election. What will they dream up next. I know. How about the sky is falling and we are all going to be burnt to a crisp from the suns radiation. Wait better yet. The sea level will rise from global warming caused by Trump personally and only the hillbillies in the mountains will survive who elected him.:lamo

It's nice to know how unimportant the position of President of the United States is. We used to think it was a big deal. But apparently the chief qualification is being able to troll the opposition for the entertainment of the base. Now we know.

Maybe it would helpful to know before blaming the Trump administration for something that has not happened.

Agreed.

A re-examination and considering possible changes on a regular basis is probably healthy. Won't know if its good ideas or bad ideas until the ideas are put forth.

Screaming already now the world will end is just foolish. How about wait for the changes they propose?

Oh, Sweet Mother of God! Has that man truly lost his mind? I think so!

Is that man driving us to have to think about our proximity to nuclear power plants, unpredictable weather events and the direction of prevailing winds?

Are we going to see folks hightailing it to states lacking nuclear power facilities and upwind from them?

The article actually said the nuclear industry is asking the NRC to relax standards. And it said the NRC is dominated by Trump appointees. Then, if you are a Trump-hater, you are left to connect the dots and read between the lines -- you will think the article said that Trump is telling the nuclear industry inspections aren't needed and they can go ahead and blow up the world.

In reality, we have no idea if the NRC will care what the nuclear industry wants. Of course the NRC wants to save money and effort, so of course that's what they ask for.
