The video was taken Friday at a vigil in New York for the 50 victims of the shootings, which targeted two mosques in Christchurch. Students confronted Clinton, who is pregnant with her third child, over statements she'd made denouncing anti-Semitism.


"This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out into the world," one student said in the video. "I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep inside. The 49 people died because of the rhetoric you put out there."



The President;s son , upon hearing of this, came immediately to her defense:

I'm all for the statements by both Jr. and Chelsea. I'm a little more fond of her than him, but I agree with what they both said. It's insane to blame her statements against hate for causing a mass murder, but there are a ton of folks desperately trying to blame Trump and groups for the same psychotic act.

Not a lot of sanity to be found in the hardcores. At least most of the general populace is having the sane reaction and just mourning the loss and wishing nutjobs like that guy were caught and stopped before such a loss of life happened.

That media quote was way off. It wasn't Donny Jr who came to Chelsea's defense, it was Jared. Yup, Ivanka's husband. And less we all forget, before the campaigns of their parents for the presidency, Ivanka and Chelsea were best of friends. Both married Jewish men and converted to the faith.

Well, Jewish men do have a reputation, true or not, for treating their womenfolk well.

Donny boy chimed in hours later, claiming he was speaking in behalf of his father and himself. Not a word from Melania, but then her folks were involved in religious war with muslims for hundreds of years. Oh, it is all so confusing. :lamo

Whoever said this isn't worthy of their attention, doesn't have a sense of humor. This is almost as good as a Marx Brothers movie. Almost, but not really.

It's good to hear Don Jr make a token gesture.

But allow me to move the goalpost, as is so often done around here.

I want to hear the President condemn anti-semitism again. I want him to condemn Islamophobia. I want to hear him call out 4chan and 8chan. I want the president to call this an act of terrorism and I want to hear to at least twice in the next few days; half a dozen times over the next month. In fact I want him to say it each time. I want to hear him call out White Nationalism. Again and again.

The numbers I've asked for above are important. They will show some degree of commitment or at least sustained lip-service. I don;t want a single remark or link to a one-off mention. I want him to say it again, again and again. Will he do that? Will he give this even as much time as he does to tweeting against Meryl Streep and Arnold Schwarzenegger? I want the president to stand up against the far right killers among us today.

Trump supporters, is that asking too much?

I don't think that the SJW confronting Chelsea was appropriate. Chelsea seemed to handle it about as well as she could.

Chelsea has ticked all the leftist boxes, and yet there are leftists that still aren't satisfied, I guess some never are nor never will be.

Confrontations of this nature, this type of leftist 'purity test', no one, not one of the what? 22 Democratic presidential candidates is going to measure up and appease everyone.

This is a fine example of the left eating its own, right before you very eyes. Some still believe that the Democrat presidential candidate is going to win the 2020 election with this going on? With this becoming ever more prevalent?

I have my doubts, especially if leftists continue to drag the party to the extreme left, continue to eat their own, such as Chelsea's encounter would demonstrate.

They are upset about so many people piling on Ilhan Omar when she tweeted about lobbying groups and their power in politics. I'm sure it wasn't Chelsea's intention to start the pile on, but we are talking about college students reacting to an extremely intense situation. When you add in the disgusting display against Omar at my state's capital, Jeanine Pirro's horrible remarks, the wave of politicians seeking to censure Omar for speaking about lobbying, and this tragedy you have a serious situation on your hands. Ilhan Omar has been on the receiving end of anti-Muslim bigotry and smeared as anti-Semitic for her tweets. It started with Chelsea and unfortunately that created an avalanche.

Two things can be true at the same time, it's not binary, except perhaps for the utter simpletons who can't mentally go beyond binary.

You can denounce antisemitism.
It is not the same at attacking Muslims .

And get this mental hot foot!

You can denounce Radical Islamism without attacking Islam and without attacking Muslims.
Yes, I know, difficult for some simpletons to comprehend, unless, of course, they perceive it to be to their political advantage.
