That’s a stupid question. It can mean different things depending on the context. I know you’re trying to play partisan games here, but I’m not down. Since you don’t really care what it means, why don’t you give us your interpretation?

Trump has degraded Mexicans as a group, Muslims as a group, Africans as a group (****hole countries), Blacks as a group (not all that intelligent and are lazy) etc.......... so using your definition, he is a racist, no?

It's a term to describe the fusion of Spanish, Native Americans and African peoples in Latin America. It means "the people."

Who cares? Do you folks actually track this stuff? Trump is without question a cultural and religious bigot. He uses cultural and religious bigotry to dog whistle racial bigotry and he has been doing it at least since Birtherism if not before. He has been careful not to be an overt racial bigot because in this country you simply torque off larger numbers and make more enemies as an overt racial bigot than you do as an overt cultural or religious bigot and its sooooooooo easy to dog whistle racial bigotry from overt cultural or religious bigotry. In this country, targets of religious bigotry (Muslims for example) or cultural bigotry (Mexicans for example) are simply easier and weaker targets than targets for racial bigotry. But by using overt cultural and/or religious bigotry you can accomplish the same damn thing at lower political risk.

So is the case you folks want to make that racial bigotry is somehow worse than cultural or religious bigotry? Is the argument whether Trump has been an overt racial bigot as well as being an overt cultural and religious bigot? What the heck does it matter? Somebody make the case to me that racial bigotry is somehow more objectionable, more hateful, more painful to the target and more attractive to the audience than cultural or religious bigotry. That should be interesting.

You folks don't appear to know it but you are simply arguing political reality for bigots. The political reality for bigots is that some of them can afford to ring up the number of enemies they will ring up as overt racial bigots (See David Duke) and some of them can really only dog whistle racial bigotry using overt cultural and/or religious bigotry as their tool. Literally the only difference is the higher number of enemies you will ring up in this country as an overt racial bigot as opposed to being an overt cultural and/or religious bigot. Other than the numbers game, there is not a damn bit of difference.

We must not forget the problems he had with discrimination on rent with blacks, or the full page ad calling for the death penalty for 5 men accused of rape (who were found to be innocent).

Nonsense. Trump based his entire campaign strategy around his belief that his base is largely composed of ignorant cowardly racists. Those are the type of people who get scared and are stupid enough to lynch someone.

The question is, do you think Trump knows his base?

Oh dear; a simple Google search will tell you, but I'll save you the trouble. There is La Raza which is the California-based Latino lawyer's bar association the judge was affiliated with, and then there are several other La Razas, one being the Hispano-centric entity which you're dying to be able to associate the judge with. Unfortunately for you, you cannot. So now who's getting 'squarely kicked in the balls'? Ain't me sonny. (Does it hurt much?).
