CNN's Paul Begala referred to Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner as ‘cockroaches’

Nonsense. The only reason the right gives a **** about Israel is because their buy bull tells them that the jews must all be in their own homeland prior to the end times and the rapture, and they want all of that to happen in their lifetimes.

"The left" is "some like Israel, some don't" and FYI, not liking Israel's policies regarding the Palestinians or any of their neighbors is not anti-semitic, it's ani-policy. I would respect the STATE of Israel more if they would at least declare a temprary moratorium on their policy of building and occupying walled settlements within Palestinian territories. Does that make me anti-semitic? Or does that just make me against their policy?

The left are lovers of any sort of group that they can suck votes from. And they lie their asses off defending their "position"

Jews have long been referred to as "cockroaches" and "rats." The Nazis made films visualizing it.

It is the kind of thing you really, really should avoid saying, given the historical baggage it carries.

The language is used to dehumanize people in all types of situations. Hitler did it, but he is not the first nor the last. Trump speaks of the people in caravans in similar terms and calls them an infestation. Please stop being hypocrites.

I never knew Ivanka was Jewish! Literally everything is about race for conservatives. It seems to be the only context you can frame anything and it aids your self-victimization complex.

Look out for the PC police, everyone, Bucky and Harshaw are the new sheriffs in town!

They are quite on Trump's anti Jewish troupes and calling people animals, invaders, and infestations. It's good to know they wouldn't allow a liberal to talk like Trump. These MAGA hat wearing hypocrites can pound pavement until their knuckles bleed. If they really cared about minorities, they wouldn't have put Trump in the white house. All they really care about is partisan politics.

Wait, that somehow makes it better?

I mean, seriously:

?

I guess it's open season on calling people cockroaches and rats because Hispanics are referred to that way; notquiteright says so.

It's not just anybody calling Hispanics cockroaches. It's the president. His bigotry gets way less flack than anybody else's, and it's obvious why

BS. You are a liar. The State of Israel does not consider Judaism as a race. The right of return is defined as open to anyone with a Jewish grandmother, as Judaic tradition is matriarchal. Converts may apply to the State for citizenship, and never has a convert been denied citizenship. However the right of return has been denied to known criminals from other countries.

Who are "you guys?" Who are you to claim I am a conservative? By my definition, the only race is the human race. You have allowed your inner bigoted Nazi to show itself. Nothing you say has any validity for me.

Israel recognizes the common ethnicity of ethnic Jews. It's written into the faith as record. That makes converts different from ethnic Jews, but I don't consider it a big deal. There is a difference, however, and that is fact

I could claim to be Jesus but it wouldn't make it so. That matters not.

Pelosi claims to be a Catholic but, supports abortion.

So following your logic, anything you claim matters not. We will keep that front and center when we read you posts going forward.

You claim to be Christian but yet support a lying, cheating, thieving, racist asshole. So...explain that.

Still, it isn't a racial consideration, and within a generation or two converts pass into the mainstream of Judaism. The purpose of ethnic differential is a religious question over different traditions of worship, not one of bigotry.

Jewish people share an ethnic identity and religious identity. Converts do not share the ethnic identity, and non practicing Jews do not share the religious identity. You're simply wrong about the ethnic differential only being an aspect of bigotry. There is a real ethnic difference in people of the "semitic ethnic group," and they trace their linage back through the 12 tribes. The record of the tribes is written in religious texts, and the ethnic difference can be observed through scientific DNA testing. There is nothing controversial about it to Jewish people.

Jewish people share many ethnic identities. Put your Christian theories behind you, they are not part of any Jewish reality.

Semite is descriptive of a specific language root, that it has become synonymous with Judaism is a Christian concept, not a Jewish concept. Hebrew is a semitic language, Arabic is semitic language, Amharic is a semitic language, Tigrinya is a semitic language, Aramaic is a semitic language, there are others. The peoples who speak them may or may not be ethnically related. There is no semitic ethnic group, such is construct by European Christian archeologists who tried to make a case for racial divides and European supremacy during the heights of colonial imperialism.

The two known DNA markers, known as the Cohan and Levi markers, are not necessarily limited to Jewish people. They both appear among Mongolians, Mari, Finns, Native Americans of the Amazon, and other Native Americans, various Chinese ethnic groups, some Italians, and among Polynesians. As more DNA data is accumulated the case for DNA exclusion of non Jewish people with those markers is being disproved. Peoples separated by as much as 3-4,000 years of disconnect.

While the two majority ethnic groups of Jews, the Ashkenazi and the Sephardi, are separated by geographical residence, there are others, like the Bukharians, the Faluja, the Masai Jews, the Gao of China, the Ru of China, the Pari of India, and others.

The only commonalities that appear among Jewish ethnic groups are pre-talmudic study of the Torah, and matriarchal societies, making for a common heritage of sorts.

Wherever Jews have lived in this world, they look like the peoples they live among. Not necessarily like each other.

If it weren't a diversion attempt on your part [again] would tell you that no man is perfect but, your current candidates/policies are worse.

Amazingly bringing my Christianity into a thread about a drive-by's antisemitism. LOL. You people are too much.

lol...no man is perfect. "God chose Trump."

And, you wonder why people are leaving religion in droves.

Again, nothing to do with the topic. You have ADD?

Did you forget your post already?

They have a common ancestry despite being racially diverse in modern times. The racial diversity is caused by the Diaspora. Before the Diaspora they shared culture, language, and location, and even a national identity, Israel. Modern Jewish people share common markers, and the the human genome has been mapped, and that includes the Jewish Dispora and isolation of Jewish genomes and ethnic markers inside other cultures and regions all over the world.

Btw I am not a Christian, so there is no reason to suggest I am displaying some kind of Christian belief or attitude. I feel like my position is mainstream, non religious, and backed up by science.

You don't need be Christian to possess a Christian view of history or the world.

There were two diasporas, the Babylonian and the Roman. Per example, the Bukharians were part of the Babylonian diaspora. They did not observe the Talmud as Jewish law having never been exposed to it, and only adopted it as requirement from the Orthodox Jews who controlled the right of return in Israel, for recognizing them as Jews, even tho they were pre-Talmudic Jews. Not all Jews ever settled in Israel. Some continued their trek elsewhere, including the Faluja and the Masai, as well as others. Throughout the history of Judaism, Jewish merchants traveled the world, known and unknown, often settling in regions they reached, marrying local women, establishing Jewish communities. The same with Jewish mercenaries, among the most in demand for the caravans of the silk route. Do you not ever wonder why so many Jews have the appearances similar to those they live among? Blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin are not endemic to the middle east, yet many Jews have these attributes. Shakespeare's Fagan is not a generic image of a Jew.

My first wife was raven haired, porcelain white skinned with grey/blue eyes. No one ever believed she was Jewish. Her family mostly came from the Caucasian Mountains region, where most everyone appeared this way, at least in the area they came from. I have always had near white hair, yet I have some Asian facial features. Being Eurasian confuses people who see me. Especially since I am tall, 6'. Not the typical height people expect of Asians. Yet there are also Asians who are tall, and from regions where all are tall. Rushing to judge a book by its cover rarely provides a good read. The history of human migrations, back and forth, confuse our expectations.

The human genome has been mapped, and it continues to be mapped. The mapping of the human genome is far from finalized. We learn more with every passing day. The assumptions that have been drawn are often being proved erroneous. Science marches on, ever with new theories replacing older theories. Whenever we believe we know something, we learn we do not. :) This is healthy. For all aspects of human understanding.

I'll be gone for a few days, actually leaving in moments. I'm enjoying this conversation and look forward to continuing it with you when I return.

I have no idea. I'm just guessing, like I said. I've entered snarky stuff, then read it, and hit the edit button just to remove the snarky stuff. You kept asking why the other user edited a reply to you. I'm trying to explain what that reason may have been.

Sheesh. No good deed ever goes unpunished. If you want to be angry, with me or the other user, go ahead on.

Taking words out of context is a good way to change the meaning of those words.

I always question posters when they edit away a large portion of the post and then post only a snippet stripping that particular fragment of the framing that supports it.

I don't claim to be posting little Gettysburg Addresses, but when the entire post is four lines and 3 of those lines are assertively and intentionally edited away, the meaning is changed.

What motivates this changing if it is not an intentional and malicious goal?

Well, I suppose that is one way to look at things.

Yous post suggest one of 2 things. RW extremist. Or a Poe.

And since I can't tell....I am leaning towards Poe.

Well, I Googled "Poe" and I still don't know what message you are tryin to impart.

ELECTED Democrats are saying things that are just amazingly divisive and hate filled. After the things are said, we are told to forgive and forget.

Then they say more amazingly divisive and hate filled crap. It's pretty amazing.

That was pretty funny.

I find it utterly astonishing that those on the Left think those on the Left show civility. They also seem to think they show integrity, credibility, fairness and wisdom.

It's as if they share a form of some kind of mass delusion.
