Really? I live in Alabama. AOC means nothing to me. But Trump is the one who is supposed to represent me here and around the world, as he does every single US citizen. The only Congress critters I care about are the ones who represent me. Do you believe AOC represents all of the people who make all of the comments about her on this board?

I wouldn't go as far as to say the victims are stupid, but it is superstitious and irrational to be religious. Still, they certainly did not deserve to be killed.

Anyway, praying doesn't do anything. How is prayer supposed to work anyway? Does God not know about atrocities that are about to take place? Isn't He all-knowing and all-loving (as well as all-powerful)? Surely, He can stop horrific acts from taking place without measly human beings shooting thought-beams at Him...or maybe He just doesn't care?

Tell that to the millions of slaves who only had prayers. Tell them that praying was meaningless.

Our country was founded through the pulpits. Throughout our history, every one of the 27 grievances in the Declaration of Independence against King George was preached from the pulpits of America well before it was written on the declartion. Preachers were the forerunners of the revolution.

Without thought and prayers, our country would not exist.

Why would an all-loving, all-powerful, all-knowing God allow millions of people to be enslaved in the first place? Doesn't sound like He's very good at His job. Even if He did exist, how does prayer even work? He apparently ignored prayers for freedom from slaves for hundreds of years. Is there a certain amount of people who must send their thought-beams to Him before God answers the prayers? What's that number? Isn't He already aware of terrible things taking place on Earth? Why must human beings shoot him thought-beams to inform Him of what's going on and implore Him to act? If He's so moral and powerful, why doesn't He just do the right thing anyway, without being demanded to do so?

I really don't think people speaking out against perceived tyranny in public places in the 1700s would've never happened if said people didn't believe in God.
