I am not saying Trump is guilty of obstruction, although there does seem to be a lot of evidence, what I want to know is if there is sufficient evidence to prove his guilt, will you still support him. Would you appeal to your Senator to vote against any impeachment trial? In essence I am asking that if trump shot someone on 5th avenue would you still vote for him?

Why bother asking the question when you know what the response will be?

Found guilty of obstruction of justice for....Russian collusion?

I am not sure that your post makes any sense at all. If Trump was impeached and convicted then he would no longer be in office, much less, on the ballot.

People still voted for Clinton, knowing how shady she was and that it would put Bill back in his hunting grounds. People re-elected Bush and Obama.

If there isn't sufficient evidence do you think he is owed an apology.

If there is no evidence of obstruction or Russian collusion would you then support him?

There is obstruction of justice, and there are other crimes. There will not be any impeachment, because, it will drag down Republican's running for reelection for the Senate in 2020. If you dislike Trump with the crimes that are done. You are also going to take it out with the Republican senators running for reelection because they would keep Trump as president. If you change your mind about Trump, you have to change your mind with your Republican senator as well.

If he shot in self-defense, of course I would still vote for him ... and if I could break the tight voting laws in TN, I would vote twice for him.

Good luck getting a straight answer. I believe they would.

It doesn't matter if the House impeaches, Repub Senators will never convict. It doesn't matter what he's impeached for, I don't believe The Cult will be calling their Senators demanding they convict their messiah. After two years of watching Repub Senators bending over for Trump, they'll never stand up, much less turn around and face him...

I'm sure all it would take is for you to hear Trump claim, "I'm innocent, it's a witch hunt!"...

I am asking that if Mueller or the House committees find evidence of obstruction, would you still support him? I am asking if he broke the law would you still support Trump? You know he can not be indicted, but only impeached and perhaps convicted. If that is happening and you know he committed the crime of obstruction by the evidence, would you still support him? I am trying to see how deep the support for Trump is in those who now support him.

If Trump (or anyone) is convicted then I would not support them getting a light sentence.

I would (not) support, the FBI saying "no reasonable prosecutor"....

You should support him until their is proof of collusion. As far as obstructing a witch that should not be a crime. Well the people conducting the witch hunt should be the ones going to jail.

Maybe you are too young or just too supportive of this president, but one of the biggest charges against Nixon, the one that probably got him to resign was obstruction.

1. Trump can fire Comey for ANY reason or NO reason.

2. Rosenstein recommended that Comey be fired.

If someone wants to try to cook up obstruction out of that, he's free to try.

And that was an entirely different scenario. Nixon tried to protect people he knew were guilty of criminal wrongdoing.

There is a big difference between obstruction of justice and putting a stop to a witch hunt. Just the idea of investigating people on trumped up charges is a much worse crime in my opinion and is spitting in the face of justice.

I think what some people are slow to learn is that standing by trump no matter what is precisely the point of being a trump supporter. In other words: it's populism.

Actually Trump can fire anyone but, if he does so with corrupt intent, i.e., stopping the investigation that included him, he is guilty of obstruction. That is the law. The hardest thing in these cases to prove is always intent, but trump went on television and told us that he was thinking of the investigation when he fired Comey, so we know his intent was to stop the investigation. He later said so in the video from the Russians when Trump met with them in the Oval office. So we have an action, the firing of Comey, corrupt intent when he told us he was thinking of the investigation when he did so. We have everything needed to prove obstruction of justice.

That is the most pitiful post ever. If this is a witch hunt, there are a lot of witches in the group of trump cronies, with what 37 indictments and how many found guilty or have pleaded guilty and we are not even to the end. Give up on the witch hunt stuff, no one even Trumpsters believe that anymore.

I really think that many who still support Trump just can't admit to themselves that they were fooled by him. They, like Trump, can not admit they made a mistake.

Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under oath and there was no underlying crime. If he had not resigned Nixon would have been impeached for obstruction of justice because he pressured the DOJ to drop the investigation.

But that was before we elected a man who bragged he could commit murder and his fans would not abandon him. He knows his base well. They will never turn on him regardless of the evidence.
