Yep, she really said just that.
How proud Democrats must be of this former bartender turned know-it-all socialist.Expert.jpg

What she is good at is self promotion. I wonder how much tax she thinks would be her fair share on the eventual book deal she is going to get from some liberal book publisher?

Its funny how the right wing is obsessed with her.

She is a troll and purposely says crazy things to rile up citizens.

and you right wingers respond like trained Pavlov dogs.

It's pretty convenient that it works out that way. Usually Democrats are pretty bad at dealing with the hate machine but AOC does fine with it.

She is new and she is young. She will make mistakes. I think she speaks from her heart. No matter, I like the hell out of her.

She was referring to an idea Bill Gates has floated before. You all know Bill Gates right? He's that college drop out who didn't know anything except enough to revolutionize the computer industry. In the broader context of the subject, figuring out how people transition to other work when its replaced by automation is a worth while discussion.

It's great that repubs have a new punching bag in AOC because they sure need one. Enjoy repubs!

If robots are going to take all the jobs, then somewhere needs to be found to get the money to pay people not to work. Taxing robots squares the circle very elegantly.

serious response : at my job, they are working to replace us with robots every day. i'm fine with the taxation model following the labor model.

If she actually believes capitalism is unredeemable, she is a fool.

When Trump declares himself an expert in anything, you cheer him on "Yes master, nobody knows more about hockey than you!"

I love watching you guys try to slander her. SHE SAID "TAX ROBOTS" EVERYONE FREAK OUTTT!!!!!!!!!1111

Yeah, okay. Come back to me when you can enunciate your problem. With words.

If she actually believes capitalism is unredeemable, she is a fool.

To which form of capitalism do you refer? You didn't say.

I'll assume then you are defending oligarchic capitalism, the form with which you are personally most familiar.

I like her more and more every single day! I seriously can't get enough of her quotes and such (honestly her voice grates a bit on me, so I like the quotes and posts better).

Let her speak out!

And for the kidding part of this post: I think we should seriously consider the unfair advantage these robots are born with. They don't need to eat, sleep, or be paid beyond a modicum of maintenance! We need to balance this unjust part of society. I think we should tax their individual income at 90%. What do they need beyond some oil and a little electricity?!

Yep, she really said just that.

Well, the government needs to recoup loss in payroll tax revenue as automation and robotics replace human workers. So what alternative do you propose to taxing the use of those tools in lieu of people?

Well, as a matter of fact, her degree is in economics and she graduated with honors. That doesn't make her an economist, but it does make her knowledgeable enough about economics to warrant rigorously considering her ideas.

Yes, but President Trump graduated with a degree in economics from Wharton. No matter that President Trump did not receive an MBA from Wharton. He received a bachelor's degree in economics.

In addition, Trump is very smart, has a very high IQ and graduated at the top of his class - he said.

But let us be brutally honest for a moment. The name "Trump" and the word "honor" have never purposely been used in the same sentence unless one is used disavowing the other.

If your gonna tax their income then wouldnt you have to give them an icome to be taxed? Should robots earn wages?

Automation and robotics are not systems that just originated this year. They have been incorporated into businesses across the country for decades.

The number of employed continues to grow under President Trump. Now I know this makes you very, very angry, but please try to stick to facts, not bitter speculations.

You were brutal, yes, but honest, not remotely. Moreover there is NOTHING "independent" about you.
My Ignore List is intended to spare me from inane remarks that waste my time. It just grew by you.
