Tucker Carlson

:lamo
The only "truth" here is that (like so many right wing ideologues) you don't understand the basic difference between FACTS and your own ignorant opinions. The level of ignorance on display in the above "arguments"....is really quite amazing to observe. Not one single, objective, provable "truth" anywhere in that ridiculous screed.

Oh, please. Stop whining about being labeled appropriately. You people spew bigotry and ignorance...and then whine and complain when your bigotry is called out. The fact that you, and your ilk, ignore the racial bigotry of your heroes (like Carlson) because you share their views.

:lamo
Fascism? You're such a typical right winger. Read a freaking book, my low-information, Fox-News-loving friend. At least TRY to understand what words mean before misusing them and looking like an idiot, next time, ok?

And you don't understand how you keep portraying yourself as a bigot, like Tucker Carlson? Seriously? Every other alt-right/white nationalist type agrees with you, as well. It's not small coincidence that the ranks of people who share your personal perspective (which you share with Carslon and his ilk)....are almost exclusively limited to older and middle aged conservative white men (and about half of their wives), you know? Take that for what it's worth.

:lamo
And my advice to you is to educate yourself so that you don't come across as an ignorant bafoon every time you attempt to share your arguments beyond the comfy confines of the alt-right forums where you get them. In an educated environment, you'll see your empty-headed FauxNews talking points gutted, and mocked, routinely.

The truth is that MediaMatter is a left wing smear machine.

You can either accept this fact, or ignore it, I really don't care.
I really don't care if you insist on continuing to live in ignorance, and continue to insist on being manipulated by MediaMatters fauxrage generation machine.

He's endlessly throwing down verdicts on conservatives (and posters here) like Zeus on Mt. Olympus while being wholly and completely blind, intentionally or not, to every shady maneuver the left makes. You can't debate such people. You have to waste too much time wading through the muck.

I'm not going to wade through this fact-free bilge.
Who are you kidding? The reasons you so frequently respond with deflection are because: (1) like most right wing types, you don't like to read, and (2) you don't have the intellectual chops to rebut your opponent. You know this as well as I.

All I'll say is that you relieve yourself of any need to engage in a fact based debate by labeling conservative views as de-facto "ignorant, racist, bigoted, blah, blah, blah".
I'm not worried about what you think. The only thing you, and people like you, are going to need to come to grips with is the following:

If you don't want to be considered and/or labeled, with terms like "bigot", "racist", "ignorant", "anti-intellectual", "low-information", "uneducated", etc. etc.....DON'T express bigoted, racist, ignorant, anti-intellectual, low-information, uneducated opinions that you cannot back up in a debate.

It's really that simple. If you're going to talk like a bigot, and spew fact-free fake-news....the LEAST you should do is STOP whining when people describe it (and you) thusly. You people are entitled to your personal opinions (regardless of how ignorant or bigoted they may be). What you are NOT entitled to is "freedom from public criticism" when you say stupid, ignorant, bigoted stuff. Don't be such snowflakes. Otherwise, just kick rocks.

You are the archetype of the kinds of people running Media Matters. Their goal isn't to expose facts or non-facts. Their goal is to relieve the left having to debate them, much like you.
:lamo
You and I both know that I'm always ready for a substantive debate of ideas. Your problem is that you're just not equipped for that. Your fact-free, superficial right-wing talking points don't hold up to scrutiny on this board....so you always end up flailing foolishly. Notice how you have completely avoided addressing any of my previous points in favor of the usual personal invectives. It's your preferred tactic: Deflection.

Blinded by ideology. What a terrible waste (and wasting) of a brain.

It's not a "smear" if it's truthful and accurate. What you and the alt-right actually hate about MM is that they ACCURATELY and TRUTHFULLY expose the lies and smears of the Fake News media....and that bothers people like you. Most people understand this.

Bless your angry little fake-news inspired, alt-right heart.

If you think you can rebut anything Media Matters (headed by former darling of the right wing media, David Brock) has said about FoxNews....please feel free to do so. Until then, just understand why so many people laugh at the brainwashed musings of people like you.

Oh, there you go again. Stop the whining, please.

What's "shady" about exposing the lies and propaganda that gets presented as "news" on the FauxNews Channel? If you, they, or anyone else could refute what they write about FauxNews, wouldn't you have do so by now? Hmm? Please, be candid in your response.

Why should you care if MM is a "liberal" organization, anyway? That's irrelevant to the SUBSTANCE of what they report. Why don't you people every actually challenge the SUBSTANCE of what they say, huh? Do you NOT honestly realize how shallow you seem when you try to use that tactic against intelligent, non-wingnut people? And, in this case, the FACTS clearly show that Media Matters got it right about Tucker Carlson. They didn't issue doctored tapes (like O'Keefe). There is no disputing that Carlson said everything on those tapes.

So let's be clear about this. The ONLY thing you have done in this thread is establish yourself as a DEFENDER of a man who is clearly a pretty vile religious and racial bigot, and someone who holds some equally vile views about women. That's all you've accomplished in this thread. So, for Pete's sake, just stop whining about the JUSTIFIABLE perceptions about you that people may have developed.

Sorry, but no.

MediaMatters is a left wing attack organization. The only so called 'truth' they spout is specifically selected and presented in such a manner as to manipulate those already leaning left into fauxrage against the MediaMatter selected target du jour.

MediaMatters' tactic is a tried and true one. Get a particularly effective or popular non-leftist broadcasters taken off the air by pretending to be a grassroots boycott campaign against their advertisers.

For years, Media Matters has operated as an aggressive wing of Clintonworld, going so far as to suggest hiring private investigators to dig up dirt on Fox News hosts. Media Matters consistently attempts to tear down conservative hosts by either ripping them out of context or by digging up old Bad Things™, then astroturfing public pressure against advertisers. In reality, no real grassroots pressure exists in the vast majority of cases; the data show that secondary boycotts actually don’t materialize. But Media Matters simply contacts its list of activists, then has them contact advertisers, saying that they’ll stop using a product if that advertiser doesn’t pull its advertising. A few tweets or well-placed phone calls can knock an advertiser off a show. This last tactic, the launching of secondary boycotts, has been successfully used against advertisers across a broad range of conservative programming; advertisers are, understandably, risk averse, and so take any sign of discontent as a rationale for pulling their money. This leads, eventually, to the complete abandonment of advertisers support on political shows – at least from the right.

Yup. Exactly what MediaMatters does. Out of context and so old as to be irrelevant, and use this BS to launch their astroturf campaign.

None of this is new. MediaMatters has been at it for quite some time.

Media Matters for America (MMfA) is a politically progressive[1] media watchdog and lobbying group with a stated mission of "comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media".[2] Set up as a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization, MMfA was founded in 2004 by journalist and political activist David Brock.[3] Eric E. Burns served as MMfA's president until 2011.[4]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Matters_for_America

By their own admission they are a "media watchdog and lobbying group", and by their repeated behavior, they are an progressive ideologically driven attack squads lead by their slime ball in chief, Brock, and funded, to a large extent, by the far left billionaires zealot Soros and Lewis.

Their corrections, aren't really corrections, but distortions that favor their ideology, and those of the same ideology, for consumption by those with the same ideology (Ever hear of the liberal progressive echo chamber? Well here it is in spades). Their corrections aren't to further anything but their ideology at the cost and impingement of anyone not of the same ideology.

A fair assessment would be to call them liberal / progressive ideological shock troops. Hell, one of their initiatives is to literally flood the news media with their wonk drones to drone on and on about the liberal / progressive ideology, and to put that spin on every interview possible.

Since its inception in August 2009, the Progressive Talent Initiative, or PTI, has trained nearly 100 pundits who have appeared 800 times on television and radio. Media Matters uses that metric to pitch donors for more contributions, but its leadership believes that the surge of camera-ready liberals has recaptured lost ground in the media wars against conservatives.
. . . .
The primary mission of Media Matters, he said, is to obsessively monitor Fox News and call attention to its distortions. But now it’s moving into the operational phase, transforming from observers to shock troops. The organization, he said, had to “professionalize the training and booking” of a left-leaning counterpoise.
Media Matters boot camp readies liberal policy wonks for the camera’s close-up
Media Matters Mission statement: "comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media"

Their ‘correcting conservative misinformation’ is little more than using Media Matters as an attack platform against anyone and anything that disagrees with their extreme liberal / progressive agenda and ideology.

In essence, a purveyor and promoter extremist left-wing propaganda.
Alt-Right Replacement

Yes, already recognized as such way back when.

Ask yourself this: Has MediaMatters ever called out a left leaning news organization?

You've been rebutted repeatedly. You simply refuse to acknowledge said rebuttal. I'm also certain I read as much or more than you do, FWIW. Like you'd know anyway. That's just more arrogance. Secondly, I haven't expressed bigoted or racist views anywhere nor can you produce them. That's just you lying and believing your own lies. I've backed up everything I've contended. You not liking it doesn't change anything.

Fact free? Hilarious. You were wetting yourself in the earlier immigration discussion saying that I was using made up crime Federal crime stats from a "rightwing site" so I linked directly to the DOJ and they had the same statistics. Then you claimed that 90% of illegal aliens came through legal ports of entry. When I asked for a link, you provided one that said 35% come through that way. You can't even keep your own "facts" straight, much less rebut mine.

The most stunning comment of all is how I've "avoided your points in favor of invective" That's your SOP; attack the source, attack the poster. You've just described yourself perfectly. Now, this is your cue to come back talking about racism, and bigotry and certain "ilks". It's all you're good for.

Oh, there you go again. Stop the whining, please.

MM is a leftwing attack dog. What they dug up on Carlson doesn't mean anything. Libs don't give a crap about naughty thoughts so don't act like they do. ALL they care about is silencing conservatives and MM is one of their vehicles for doing so. Please let me know when they unearth something about CNN, MSNBC or one of the other lib networks. It'll be a cold day in hell.

I've heard Carlson often. I doubt you've ever heard more than the stuff fed to you by the left. He's not a racist nor against any religion. He asks tough questions that liberals don't want to talk about so he has to go. That's why they go around trying to smear him personally. It's what they do. Nobody is fooled by this whatsoever.

The Daily Wire - Media Bias/Fact Check

Well, let's start with the most-obvious first, shall we?

For starters, I'm someone who understands that your mind-reading abilities are, at best, the stuff of delusions.

Next, I'm also the guy who had to dispel you of the fake news propaganda about Media Matters being "exposed" to be in violation of it's tax exempt restrictions.

So I was right.
Unless you're one of Media Matters' own thugs all you know of them is that you like the product they're selling.
Tell me what you know about Brock, them, their charitable work, their funding, and their history?
I'd ask what you know of their reputation but it ain't likely you ever wondered about that.

The Daily Wire - Media Bias/Fact Check

So you got nothing but attack the source. Not anything disproving the stated? Well that says something right there, doesn't it?

Even if right leaning, doesn't mean they are wrong in this case.

Which left leaning news media has MediaMatters criticized? Any?

You'd think that the botched BuzzFeed of Cohen being told to lie to Congress, debunked by Mueller's public statement, and the totally botched Covington High Schooler's reportage not warrant any criticism from MediaMatter? None?

If none, then that'd be a clear demonstration of their political hyper-partisanship.

That, coupled with the obviously dubious tactics MediaMatters clearly have employed and clearly continues to employ, it is completely reasonable to not take anything they claim in any serious manner and recognize that which they are: A leftist attack organization for the purpose of silencing any differing opinions in the media.

So you got nothing but attack the source. Not anything disproving the stated? Well that says something right there, doesn't it?
Another absurdly ironic comment coming from the one who’s posted nothing but bias based opinion.

Why do you think my response to you was so short?

Hey, listen, if you are unwilling to open your eyes to the BS smear jobs that MediaMatters is running, there's really no point to try an open your eyes to it.
Seemingly willfully blind.
Hurts you more than it hurts me. Have fun with that!
