Failure Catching Up to Trump

Trump's 2020 budget request covers two Trump flimflams.

While he has played a shell game with the entire issue of what he has wanted and does want for THE WALL in miles of new construction, he is now requesting another $5.6B in new Wall Funding for 2020. So much for the totally specious argument that he would stop fighting for more WALL once he got 230 miles of new physical barrier. Lets remember, "Mexico is going to pay for it" is entirely out the window. Plus his Budget calls for returning the $3+B to military construction that he took setting himself up to take it again. That will of course depend on how the current court battles go, which means its simply more CHARADE! Its the reality TV presidency. For those too stupid to realize it, reality TV is SCRIPTED.

He is presenting a plan that cuts the deficit in 15 years (Ah-huh). That totally undercuts his claim that he would do it in two terms and frankly since this is the charade presidency Trump doesn't care anyway.

CNN may be jumping the gun a little here on today's Trump hit piece.

It was always ambitious to suggest a single Presidential term would cure the growing concerns with North Korea, that more or less did not get addressed much by the past several Presidents.

The economy is doing what it has for the past several years approaching a decade now, muddling along producing mixed bag quarter results but showing gains. There is always the risk of economic difficulty in the future and we should be concerned over some aspects of our economy but it is yet to be seen when those concerns will be realized.

The subject that did get my attention from the article is 2020, and as usual it will depend where Independents decide to place their votes. We already know Trump supporters will continue on with their President, and we know Dem opposition will pick from the plethora of candidates already testing the waters. The question is what does Trump do to gain Independents, "the base" as CNN puts it is already in his corner.

Speaking as pne of those independents, I can tell you I won't be voting for Trump, or any Republican.

I don't like most of the Democrats who have thrown their hats into the ring, either. I was kind of liking Hickenlooper until he flat out refused to call himself a capitalist. I understand why he wouldn't want that label, as most Americans seem to think that liberalism and socialism are incompatible with capitalism. The truth is that they are not mutually exclusive, and we need both.

I consider myself to be a Social Capitalist -- meaning that yes, there are social programs that we can and should institute for the good of we the people, and we can pay for those programs if we get smarter about how we spend revenue. We need capitalism in order to HAVE that revenue, but pure capitalism without socially motivated regulations leads to the tyranny of the haves over the have nots.

It appears that already manifested itself in the House races, a true national barometer of where the independents sit.

Democrats champion exporting our jobs and importing the 3rd world. The things we consider success the OP cringes over...obviously.

You have that backwards. Outsourcing jobs has always been a capitalist move. The corporations who do that are owned and run by conservatives who are taking full advantage of the deregulations championed by the GOP.

Sorry, but you don't get to call the Democrats anti-capitalists and then blame them for capitalist policies.

:2no4:

Wrong. 3% annual growth was NEVER ACHIEVED under Obama, and his last year in office, which, should have been his BEST, in terms of economic growth, if we are to believe the "Obama did it!!" BULL****, was well UNDER 2%.

Wages were COMPLETRLY STAGNANT under the "New Normal" of the Obama economy.

NOT SO NOW.

You're shouting again. We've talked about this, Grok.

WRONG! Jobs left because lefties made it too expensive to do business here in the states due to over-regulation. Turn your apple juice over...it comes from china because its less expensive to ship from there to here on a frickn boat than it is to buy locally from our plentiful orchards. Trump is changing that and his results prove it. You are simply wrong.

Better UPDATE YOUR NUMBERS and LINKS.

Wage growth is 3.4% since last year

Wages rise at annual rate of 3.4%, job-switching slows: ADP

...inflation is UNDER 2%. (1.6%)

Current US Inflation Rates: 2009-2019 | US Inflation Calculator

FAR BETTER THAN ANYTHING Obama ever accomplished, and MORE TO COME, HOPEFULLY.

As people remain in their jobs longer (they are), wages will continue to rise. Sweet.

Sorry to pop your HOPED FOR "BAD NEWS" bubble.

Why is the left always HOPING FOR BAD NEWS?

No one hopes for bad economic news, but facts matter, and Trump's endless alternative facts are only believable to his base.

You're shouting again. We've talked about this, Grok.

You're desperately deflecting again; I've laugh about this....and do again.

Your surrender is accepted.

Trump ran for president to increase his "brand" and grow his own wealth, not ours. Winning the election is the worst thing that ever happened to him, because for the first time in his spoiled little rich boy life, he's being held accountable. Running was another in a long line of stupid decisions he's made.

Due to increased consumer spending. Rome wasn't built in a day.

If the DP Left wishes to keep pretending that the current economy is "BAD"...go ahead...you also believe in "TRUMP/RUSSIA COLLUSION"...:lamo

Proof?

Greed. Pure greed on the part of corporate America. Greed is why we need regulations and collective bargaining in the first place. "You are simply wrong" back at ya.

It is currently impossible to buy only American made goods, thanks to corporate greed and conservative deregulation. It's shortsighted, too, because when they finish running the working class into the dust, who will be left to buy their products? The greedy do not care about the future, as long as they get theirs. We're participating in our own economic demise, but most are too stupid to see it.

Caps lock is the online equivalent to shouting, and those who habitually shout do so because their arguments are weak. Just because you don't see that doesn't mean the rest of us are blind to it. Also, it's annoying.

It is not greed, its a choice of whether or not to stay in business or not. In America it was costing more to manufacture electric fans than they could sell them for due to the unrealistic regulations. Thats not greed, thats being forced to move elsewhere or go out of business.

Hmmm... I wonder why as a libertarian...you think that Trump is responsible for the economy?

I just hired more workers and put in another facility. I would have said that was because of me and my employees hard work etc..

But you don't seem to think it was the result of my decision and my employees hard work... but was the result of Trump.

So please explain how it was Trump...

Oh.. I would have done more hiring, but trump's trade war has hurt the agricultural industry including myself, so I had to cut back on hiring in that industry...

But please explain your position.

I never said that. I cited the CURRENT , POSITIVE ECONOMIC state, as opposed to the attempt by the OP to paint a picture of economic gloom and doom.

That said, he has helped it immensely by lowering taxes, but even moreso by eliminating hundreds onerous regulations that strangled growth.

He made it much easier for Americans to do their thing.

Please read the OP to which I responded.

THere is no doubt that the economy is faltering under the moron in chief.

I already provided you with links showing those numbers reduced by the rate of inflation.

No, you didn't. You posted DATED SPECULATION with arbitrarily ALTERED NUMBERS.

I posted, and LINKED TO, the current EMPIRICAL DATA, on both year-over-year wage increase 3.4%, and current inflation, 1.6%.

No need to CREATED A "FORMULA" to try to downplay it, here. JUST THE ACTUAL FACTS WILL DO.

Check the DATE(s) on your links, too.

Yes, as evidenced by the 3.4% yoy increase in wages, paltry 1.6% inflation, and 3.1% annual GDP....absolutely catastrophic. der :lamo

Their TDS denial is truly epic. They flat out refuse to acknowledge fact. They keep spewing Trump is failing but can't cite a single fact based reason why. How many times have you posted the above and still they don't get it?

In America it was costing more to manufacture electric fans than they could sell them for due to the unrealistic regulations.

I know right. Imagine requiring electric goods be manufactured in such a way that they don't start fires or electrocute people. What nonsense!

Their TDS denial is truly epic.

No kidding, Trump Defense Syndrome is truly epic. No matter what dumb ass things Trump says, or what dumb ass things Trump does, TDS ensures that this forum will be full of posters defending his dumb assery, while the entire world laughs at him and America.

European diplomats: Trump is a 'laughing stock'
'People here think Trump is a laughingstock'
Trump is making America the laughingstock of the world

lets test that. Are you against Trumps job progress? Yes or no?
