Lindsay Graham's epic humiliation

I never was a fan either, but goddamn, I respected the guy for what he went through.

I thought what Trump said about McCain's time as a POW was totally uncalled for.

If there's any irony to be had, it would be that after several deferments preventing him from being drafted to Vietnam, 50 years later Trump would end up going to Hanoi for the summit, the exact same place where McCain was a POW.

You can bet your ass he didn't stay anywhere like the Hanoi Hotel.

the guy with multiple deferments used his vietnam visit to disparage an elected official who actually wore the uniform:

It probably goes without saying that Trump lies about what Blumenthal actually said about his Vietnam-era service. But I'll say it anyway since some Trumpster will probably amble by soon and say Trump was correct.

I never in my life thought that I'd refer to any U.S. president as a vicious son of a bitch til now.

He is lower than low, and yet there are millions across America who believe he is an innocent victim.

But we know what slime he is. This thread is about Lindsey Graham saying he's all in with that slime. Graham knows what slime Trump is. He was forceful and articulate about it. And now he's all in with it.

To be fair, Republicans are caught between a rock and a hard place. If they go against Trump they will get primaried by Trump cult member and be out of a job like Corker and Flake. It's Trump's way or the highway.

Secretly, I believe they would love to be rid of him. Graham's initial comments is how he really feels. What he says today is just BS to keep his job.
Of course I would like Graham to have more courage, but I can understand the need stop speaking out about Trump once he realizes his voters won't follow. I get a need to keep his head down and, occasionally, when forced by circumstances, to find some half hearted positives for the base , or sing operas about the 'Trump' economy. All the GOP senators end up having endorse Trump more often than they would like. That's not what Graham is doing. He is going out of his way to lick the man's crack and lick his lips for the cameras. Its disgusting.

Remember that the RNC's emails were also hacked. Where are they?

Remember that the RNC's emails were also hacked. Where are they?

Before the report was released, we knew from Comey’s July 2016 statement that Clinton’s private emails included “seven e-mail chains (which) concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received.” FBI agent Peter Strzok commented that “It is more accurate to say we know foreign actors obtained access to some of her emails (including at least one Secret one) via compromises of the private email accounts of some of her staffers” (emphasis added). These facts were inexplicably left out of the final statement. Why was this part of his assessment left out? It was left out in order to vilify Hillary Clinton when in fact the one email that was compromised was obtained via the email of one of her staff, not directly from HRC's server. In fact, the email server used by Hillary Clinton was vastly more secure than the iPhones used by Trump daily.

Trump's administration has been hypocritical and even indifferent regarding respect for U.S. government security. From the very beginning, even before the inauguration, Jared Kushner boldly sought to have a back channel established with Moscow in order to communicate privately. Full stop! What? Yes, we should have all been outraged. We got over it, and never should have let that go. After this was revealed, Jared Kushner should have never received any type of security clearance to work in the White House. Donald Trump routinely uses unsecured iPhones to speak with friends and associates instead of a secure White House line. Both Ivanka and Jared have high security clearances and receive top secret intelligence and neither one passed the security clearance standards according to the CIA. Jared Kushner pushes the limits further than anyone in government on a daily basis, he and Mohammed bin Salman communicate daily using WhatsApp.

I listened to this oaf on Hannity's radio show yesterday. I like to listen to Hannity. I can usually tell how bad the news for his golden god was by how feverish his complaints of Hillary are.

Anyway, listening to Graham, I was absolutely stricken by his lack of accountability with the wall issue. This is a problem that has been plaguing our nation for years, and it is causing us to drift toward autocracy, if we aren't already there. Congress doesn't legislate anymore. They refuse to vote, they refuse to do their jobs, and thus are handing the executive more and more power.

They want to keep up a vestige of the " fight" but really dont want to pass laws because they're afraid they will be voted out for doing so.

Graham himself admitted on Hannity the immigration won't end even with a wall, because the laws themselves encourage people to come here illegally.

Wall or not, immigration won't stop UNTIL Congress decides to actually do what they're supposed to do, which is legislate, and stop handing so much power to the POTUS.
