Warren And Harris Want To Pay Slave Descendants Reparations

Maybe peparation should be paid to those living today who had relatives who fought for the North during the civil war.

Those supporting reparation to be paid can have a law passed that some of their taxes go towards it.

imo, this is just another way to tear and divide the country today. Good job politicians. :mrgreen:

Warren was already at the very bottom of my list of potential candidates so this statement makes no difference to me. I was hoping for a little bit better from Harris though. Oh well.

For the most part, no one would disagree with this. But, even Lincoln was for reconstruction. That's the trouble with the loony left. They're still fighting the civil war when it ended 150 years ago. It's over.

That would be more convincing if weren't for all the conservatives clinging to old statues and Confederate iconography. Maybe when you guys stop crying like snowflakes whenever someone suggests removing a statue of Robert E Lee. you'll have a better chance at convincing someone the south isn't still triggered from having their monopoly on America taken away.

DNA is not sufficient because there is no distinction based on date of arrival in the US.

Just because we aren't for tearing down history doesn't mean we're members of the KKK. As I said, Lincoln was for reconstruction. The left still wants to fight a war that is long over. It's over. It's been over for 150 years. The left are still so caught up in the war that the other day they vandalized a statue of William Lee, a WWII hero. And you guys claim that those on the right are "low information".

I never suggested you were a member of the KKK. I only suggested that for someone who thinks the left is obsessed with the civil war, you yourself seem to have a strange fetish for the maintaining of their iconography. Why shouldn't we replace old things with new in general and Confederate things with modern representations of our values in particular? Do you hold to that in every aspect of your life or just those involving symbols of the confederacy? Do you still have underwear from the 80's? Do you a lazy boy held together by duct tape in the living room? Are you accessing this site via AOL?
 
Calling for free reparations and free house down payments ONLY for blacks is as outright pure racist as it gets.
 
Apparently now that Elizabeth Warren says she is NOT Native American she is just blowing them off excluding them for any reparations. Maybe she now remembers a relative saying she has an ancient black ancestor and she's really a black woman.

I’ve never seen a confederate statue in person but somehow I know who these people are anyway.
