Funny how socialist politicians, somehow , BECOME MILLIONAIRES, isn't it? Due to the VERY SYSTEM they seek to DENY OTHERS access to....

Bernie Sanders HAS NEVER WORKED OUTSIDE THE PUBLIC TEAT...how did he amass his wealth?

Lifestyles of the rich and socialist: Bernie Sanders has 3 houses, makes millions

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., entered the 2020 presidential race this week promising to transform America with a left-wing vision of economic and environmental justice. But the self-described democratic socialist’s high-end income, multiple houses and fondness for air travel have already opened him up to criticism that his lifestyle doesn't always match the rhetoric.
Sanders has pitched himself as a grassroots economic populist, focusing on income inequality and higher taxes for the rich.

But Sanders has raised eyebrows over his spending and personal wealth. Notably, he owns three houses. In 2016, he bought a $575,000 four-bedroom lake-front home in his home state. This is in addition to a row house in Washington D.C., as well as a house in Burlington, Vermont.
“The Bern will keep his home in Burlington and use the new camp seasonally,” Vermont’s Seven Day’s reported in 2016.

Bernie's not taking any corporate pac money and is one of the poorest members of the Senate. This argument is as stupid as the 'you support alternative energy, oh yeah, but you drive a car tho? haha gotcha.'

Makes one wonder how he earned $1 million a year in recent years ...

Ah, I forgot, the famous book deals ... :lamo

The fact that he's among the poorest, if not the poorest member of the Senate aside, I don't recall Bernie ever saying he was against accumulating wealth or being wealthy; advocating for less economic inequality, more progressive taxation, economic justice and social programs is one thing and being actively and directly against people being rich is entirely another.

You can laugh, but it is a fact. In the past couple years he has made over $800K/year from book royalties. If it is a lie it should be easy to prove. Unlike some people, Bernie releases his taxes to the public.

Sanders is NOT A communist. He IS A democratic socialist. I know, facts are hard, and entirely irrelevant to your emotional poutrage.

It should ALSO BE SAID that nothing in his agenda, nor in the ideals of democratic socialism, say THAT ANYONE SHOULD not be a millionaire. Your CLASS WARFARE is plain to see, as is your ENVY at those more successful than YOU.

Sen. Sanders is one of four Democratic candidates for POTUS currently being hit by troll farms. The others are O’Rourke (potential), Warren, and Harris.

Sanders is also the only candidate who can effectively hit back on Twitter against the ‘enemy of the people’.

Stephen Milller is the latest iteration of Lee Atwater. Keep batting away their latest boogiemen, like open borders and socialism.

And I know this will go in and out of the ears of partisans but I’ll say it anyway. Bernie doesn’t hate rich people. He doesn’t want to stop rich people from making money. He just wants them taxed at a higher rate. And no, he doesn’t propose an exemption for himself.

Funny how right wing libertarians use the internet yet constantly complain about government projects.

Old Bernie is the quintessential communist leader: never earned any money from a job, leaching of off the working masses, owning more homes than one can live in at the same time, and all the while pretending to be a champion for the proletariat.

I'm not laughing, because that is exactly what I was pointing out: the famous/infamous book deals that democrats get. /s

I have to laugh at the kooker left. Not a single one of them has ever realized the only people who have it made in a socialist environment are the elite. And DP kook left are not elite. The Castro Bros, Mao, Stalin, Pot, were all filthy rich as was their upper echelon partners in gov't. Everyone else suffered. Socialism leads to totalitarianism. First the gov't controls production/distribution by draconian regulations, then they go to work on free speech etc. Just like the damn kooks are doing right now.

As far as Comrade BS, the idiot didn't have his first job until he was 40.

That lots of popular politicians on both sides of the aisle get. It is easy to sell books when you have lots of name recognition. And if they aren’t smart enough to write it themselves they can just hire a ghost writer. ;)

I dunno if one is officially a politician without a book deal. Prior to a book deal, one's just a bureaucrat that won an election.

Between royalties, pay as a senator, etc etc Bernie has a roughly 1.5 million net worth. If he's the poorest member of the Senate then something is wrong with our society.

As far as not taking any corporate pac money, you are correct. However according to Opensecrets.org he received $138,766 in PAC money between 2017-2018. Most of which was through unions and other various PAC's. All of which lobby/act/work just like any corporation does in order to advance their agendas.

Opensecrets.org

I will note that the amount he received was probably the lowest I've ever seen. Makes me wonder where all his campaign money came from.

How dare his wife sell her family vacation home that she inherited, in order to buy another vacation home closer to where they live?

The NERVE of that woman, I tell ya!

"They" do so love that kind of debate board move.

What, you want to raise tax rates on the better-off? Why don't you just pay more than you owe in taxes you hypocrite!

Etc. I'm sure they'd love it if the Democrats always fell on their swords, but screw that.

He is a PRIME EXAMPLE of "INCOME EQUALITY".

Sanders has NEVER WORKED A DAY IN HIS LIFE, off of the PUBLIC TEAT.

What the heck does the bolded mean?

Is there some sin in owning more than one property? Does this apply to only being able to wear one pair of shoes at a time, too?

My grandfather and father came from war-torn Europe with nothing in their pockets, yet we had a half dozen properties in our family by the sixties. You sure seem to have some skewed thoughts on this.
