He raised $6 million in 24 hours.

Has he actually become a democrat yet?

I don't know. He's running for the Democratic nomination again.

I know that, but the DNC changed the rules after the 2016 election to state that you have to be a registered democrat in order to run for the democratic nomination.

From the little I've seen of him, Sanders looks like a very honest, moral individual.
Completely unsuited, therefore, to federal politics. With that in mind, I fully expect him to win the Democratic Party nomination.

NOt sure how much teeth that new rule has though. What if he refuses?

Let us wait until the Derby field is complete before we start handicapping the horses running the race.

It's too early to tell but a lot of candidates have adopted his positions so I think he will have a real edge considering he's the original. It will be exciting to watch the "progressive" label start peeling off of some of these candidates during the primaries.

Good. Quite frankly it's the better option for the dems. Bernie running as an independent would guaranty a Trump victory.

Yeah, it would guarantee a Trump victory, which is why Bernie would never do it. He understands the unfairness of our two party system but also understands its the hand we have been dealt for now.

By any objective metric? Yes.

Of course the mainstream media is loathe to admit this, and its response to his record breaking fundraising was relatively and conspicuously subdued as compared to Kamala's comparatively paltry 1.5 million haul.

For poetic reasons, I'd like Hilary to run again and kick Trump's (_!_)

But Sanders is the best option so far to declare.

i don't agree with Sanders or any candidate on everything, but i supported him in 2016 as his views were closer to my European center left views than Clinton's were. that being said, my top issue for Democratic presidential candidates is win and get that orange oaf out of the White House. nominate a candidate who can win.

The electability argument is going to get flipped on its head in the MSM. First of all, polls showed Sanders was more electable than HRC the last time around. But, the average person would never know that.

Secondly, if an establishment sweetheart starts to poll better than Bernie vs. Trump that's all they are going to talk about, despite lying about the same situation when it was HRC in 2016.

But, Bernie beats Trump by as much as 10 points in every poll I've ever seen. I've never seen a poll where Trump beats Bernie. Seen one in the margin of error. But, there is no poll in existence where Donald Trump beats Bernie Sanders.

Let's hope. However, i see several scenarios.

Go kick some ass Bernie!
