Intimidation, Pressure and Humiliation: Inside Trump’s Two-Year War on the Investigations Encircling Him

2/19/19
Mr. Trump’s public war on the inquiry has gone on long enough that it is no longer shocking. Mr. Trump rages almost daily to his 58 million Twitter followers that Mr. Mueller is on a “witch hunt” and has adopted the language of Mafia bosses by calling those who cooperate with the special counsel “rats.” His lawyer talks openly about a strategy to smear and discredit the special counsel investigation. The president’s allies in Congress and the conservative news media warn of an insidious plot inside the Justice Department and the F.B.I. to subvert a democratically elected president.

An examination by The New York Times reveals the extent of an even more sustained, more secretive assault by Mr. Trump on the machinery of federal law enforcement. Interviews with dozens of current and former government officials and others close to Mr. Trump, as well as a review of confidential White House documents, reveal numerous unreported episodes in a two-year drama.

A lengthy and exhaustive NY Times investigation into the many secretive and attack-dog avenue's Donald Trump has pursued to stymie the Mueller/SDNY investigations into Trump collusion/obstructionism/corruption.

Oh..did the President THREATEN SOMEONE'S FAMILY?

Oh...wait a minute...THAT'S MUELLER's FAVORITE TACTIC, isn't it?

NO MORE ROSENSTEIN to RUN COVER for the STALINST "INVESTIGATION" in SEARCH OF A CRIME....

The sad reality is that this story - from yesterday - is largely being ignored and is simply looked at as more anti-Trump press.

Trump has conducted a long and disgusting war against truth and has sought to attack the norms of our very democratic republic and US Constitution with his self centered narcissistic drive to enrich himself at the expense of America and its people.

The reporters at the NY Times are performing available public service and should be praised for their efforts.

The "war against the Truth" began in London, in 2016, and was perpetrated through the GLARING CRIMES of the illegal FISA applications, and on through the FALSE BAIS for the ENTIRE WITCH HUNT.

No more BALL-LESS SESSIONS letting it happen and CO-CONSPIRATOR ROSENSTEIN RUNNING COVER FOR IT....get used to it...the Grand Buffoon is going to have to PUTNHIS CARDS ON THE TABLE...ANON.

The deep staters have tried doggedly for two years to get Trump and now that it looks like they have come up empty, what do they do? Admit there is nothing? No, blame Trump. of course. There is some real psychosis with these people.

Every day is the "Tarmac Meeting" on a steroids and methamphetamine cocktail.

The question isn't whether obstruction of justice took place; it's whether anything will come of it.

Rosenstein should face charges along with Comey, Clapper, Brennan, MCcabe, Strzok, Page, Simpson, Ohr and probably others for lying to Congress, malfeasance in office, and/or conspiracy.

Actually the War Against Trump - or better yet - what he stands for - began thousands of years ago when man sought to be more than just an ignorant cave dweller hiding from anything different than himself.

The Right posts as if Putin and Russia didn't exist.

Their enemy that does exist is the FBI.

Same as Putin's enemy is FBI.

While you're at it, just throw in everybody who didn't vote for trump. You know that's where you're going; might as well get to it now.

The number of times Trump publicly attacked the Mueller/SDNY investigations.....

That right there is obstructionism.

Nope, just a coterie of high officials interested in bringing down Trump and subverting the election.

And interestingly enough, all of those officials were involved in investigations on Trump. Funny how everybody who doesn't believe he's above the law finds themselves fired.

How long before voters who don't pull the lever for trump find themselves in the "undesirables" bin?

Who has been fired other than Comey? Most of them left with the last administration or soon after or were demoted or removed by their own agencies.

Yes, everybody within the Executive branch who didn't buy into the idea that the President is above the law found themselves..."removed." Because that's completely normal in a Democracy.

Like I said, show me anyone fired other than Comey. Trump isn't above the law but evidence must be provided that he broke one. Not innuendo, dot connecting, hearsay, and wishful thinking but substantial, solid and irrefutable evidence. The entire investigation has been predicated on a fraud, that being the phony, unvetted Steele dossier. Even Steele said that he had no clue whether any of it was true yet it was used to get FISA warrants.

Who have been EXPOSED, and will be DEALT WITH,, according to the Constitution, and the Law....FINALLY....

McCabe, Strzok and Page (though she resigned). As I said, anybody in the Executive branch who disagreed with the idea that the President is above the law are gone or being sidelined. Because of course, in Democracies you're not allowed to investigate the head of state.

The investigation is illegal. A special councel should be appointed to root out the corruption among the investigstors.

Just a regular DOJ investigation would suit me fine...a LEGIT..NO Obama Swamp involvement...

McCabe was fired for lying. Strzok was demoted in house for his unprofessional actions. They set out to create a pretext for Trump's removal, not to find a real one.

Aka: The "Insurance Policy".

Don't forget Rosenstein, who's leaving in March. Everybody in the Executive branch who disagreed that the President is above the law: gone.

Rosenstein is the one who recommended Comey be fired. He has also been anti-Trump from the beginning, even offering to secretly record him. Yet, not fired.
