Mike Pence's daughter Audrey got engaged in 'one of the most famous Gay resort towns'

Provincetown is beautiful, but I had no idea it was considered "gaytown." Wouldn't have made a difference to me, other than to tell Hubs as we were driving through. I am always peppering him with useless information.

Oh it is. I mean, you literally can not miss it. So it probably isn't a dream location for a repressed gay who pretends he isn't gay (like many Trump supporters). But for normal people whose brains work right, it's one of the most beautiful towns in the area. Forget the views and the coast and all that. The town itself is simply amazing. I love P'town and could live there, if not for the fact that in the summers it gets too damn crowded.

I'll ask, because this confuses me. What props are you giving to Pence, and for what? The OP was about his daughter getting engaged in Provincetown.
The reason I applauded Pence wasn’t because of his daughter’s engagement, but because of his consistent support of, and encouragement to choose her own political/social beliefs. I just thought it was worth noting before folks start attacking him in this thread. Credit where credit is due.

Okay, I didn't know he did that. But she's about 23, I believe. She's past te age were her father gets to tell her what beliefs she must have. I have no idea what her political and social views are anyway. I don't recall them being mentioned in the link in the OP.

There is some very interesting irony there.

P'town is one of the most beautiful towns in New England. The best shops, restaurants, hotels and galleries. But if you're a homophobe (like her parents are), you wouldn't want to be there.

I gotta visit sometime. We should probably hold our gay agenda meetings over there.

I’d already read some articles about the Pence family before this thread came up. Pence and his wife raised their kids to choose their own paths, not pressuring them to adopt their parents social/political beliefs. My wife and me did the same with our sons and I respect that.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that about the Pences. Probably because I try not to think too hard about their own bigotry, and I seldom if ever pay attention to the children of the Vice President, no matter who he is. Glad to know his daughter didn't inherit his bigotry.

I already do, sister!

I don’t normally pay much attention to the VP or his family either. Most of the time they keep a low profile and aren’t involved in important administration issues. Because of Pence’s extreme views, I thought it worthwhile do a little light research.

And I totally agree with you on his daughter.

Mike Pence'''s daughter Audrey got engaged in '''one of the most famous Gay resort towns''' [Video]

Vice President Mike Pence is celebrating the engagement of his daughter Audrey, 24. But people are speculating that he may not be too happy about the fact that the proposal from her college boyfriend, Daniel Tomanelli, took place in the “gay-centric” town of Provincetown, Mass.

'P-Town' is a gay haven on the tip of Cape Cod. Should make for some interesting chat around the dinner table when she brings home her intended to meet her folks.

I thought you were talking about West Hollywood.

How is this even worthy of comment?

This is not worthy of comment.

This is not something Pence said, but what other people attribute to what he might think.

This is news today.

P-Town is awesome even for straights. It's especially cool if you meet gay friends there. My ex is from NE, so we would go occasionally for the fling they have in August. Freaking awesome good time, but a little pricey.

Because gentialia preference is just SO IMPORTANT!!!

How about some Gomorrah style homosexual hanky-panky?

How about sticking to places which actually once existed, in proper historical context, instead of wasting everyone's time with fabled cities mentioned in fairy tales?
