Either the buffoonery of Manafort, Stone, and Team Trump, will pull of a surprise second victory in surviving all of this and coming out clean, or they will be go down in figurative flames. I feel with liberal application of full pardons, they can all come out smelling like roses, and the joke is on the nation and our obviously stupid presidential powers.

Yes, it is a crosshairs, not matter how much you pretend otherwise. Stone has been doing things like this for decades. Nothing he does is unplanned.

Stone's lawyer apologized and removed the crosshairs. Stone himself apologized profusely if insincerely. The two of 'em know something was wrong in what Stone did and seriously wrong. Severely wrong. Now we can see the wrong.

Posting an image of the judge in your case with this symbol -- or any symbol like it -- is a thing even mafia doesn't do, mainly because they're too practical and real world about the meaning, consequence and the terrible message it sends about 'em to the respectable general public and the legal community. The reports are in fact Stone had the symbol on the judge then moved it to the side as we see it here.

Granted, Manafort is guilty if FAR more crimes, he'd be pardoning him despite most of his sentence being about crimes unrelated to "behaving like a criminal to further Republican efforts".
Stone is easier...a long time friend of Trump, a student of the Nixon era (who was another Republican pardoned immediately).

I don't know, history is filled with criminal ass-**** Republicans and their underlings committing crimes to defend them, and then pardoning them down the line. I don't have a lot of hope that will change with Trump.

If its contempt of court as related to refusing to answer questions about the Mueller investigation, pardon covers that too.

Who needs the 5th when you've got a broad pardon for future crimes related to the case, including refusing to testify? Which people pardoned were later successful questioned piercing their 5th amendment rights? I haven't heard of this being successful, and pardons can cover that too. I *have* seen historically, Republicans use pardons to good effect for people who "take one for the team".

Good point maybe that is why he is not passing out pardons like Tootsie rolls on Halloween...

The Judge will be forced to smack Stone more than once as he will not give up this nonsense until she takes his toys away from him. His whole life has been nonsense and it is the basis for his self-importance. She will likely take away a few more on Thursday which won't be enough. She will have to take away more again and that won't be enough. Finally she will have to strip him clean of his toys.
