The Media Hates White People

I wrote the following in one of the many Jussie Smollett threads regarding the fake hate crime claim and the media coverage of it. This topic deserves its own thread.

Notice how clearly I will make my case here and how the people attacking my thesis will ignore the details, not answer any of my examples, but will claim that I'm just a crazy conspiracy nut. They always do this, and then they claim victory when they haven't even addressed the argument! These people are intellectually vapid. Now here is the evidence:

This wasn't an attack on conservatives. No Hispanic conservatives were blamed for this. This was an attack on whites. That's the only reason the media ran with this. Blacks are attacked every day in Chicago. When it's a black who does it there's no coverage. Hispanic? No coverage. Potentially white? Weeks worth of coverage.

Jazmine Barnes? We only heard about her because her mother claimed the murderer was white. Another lie, but that was the only way the media was going to cover her daughter's murder.

Remember the Aurora shooting from Friday? The guy killed 5 people! That's a huge story. Most mass shootings like this get us weeks of coverage, yet this one completely disappeared in less than a day. Want to know why? The shooter was black. Now you can only find local news stories about it.

It's time to admit what's really going on. Our news media isn't stupid. It's not well intentioned and just getting things wrong. It is pushing propaganda, and the goal is to tarnish the image of whites.

The so called 'news' media is indeed pushing is pushing political propaganda, is indeed pushing their preferred narrative, no matter how dishonest and distant from the facts it is.

Hard to imagine any sort of a friend of the electorate behaving in this dishonest manner.

You don't understand the meaning of the word "evidence" do you ?

As for the Aurora shooting, there have been plenty of mass shootings committed by non-whites. The NRA would indeed like as little coverage of them as possible.

Generally the amount of coverage is linked with :

a. Age of the victims
b. Number of the victims


Aurora shooting is already history for most of America...the next mass shooting is only a day or so away.

The left has a problem with self reflection. They rail on and about how terrible bigotry is how its inspired by hate but at the same time they rationalize their own biogotted and hateful views as justifiable. Its catching up them and they dont see it coming.

You can only cry wolf so many times before people start questioning the credability of the accussers. Plus they are creating sn intresting dilemma for themselves as white males become more and more marginalized they are going to forced to demonize and pit groups against each other within their own party. They need a foil to galvanize people to maintain their power and as these groups get targeted they migrate to the republican party.

The media did its best to potray tea party rallies as all hateful white males and now it does it with the Trump rallies but if you ever been to any of them you see s much different coalition of people assembling at these things.

The last mass shootings with at least as many victims were the Thousand Oaks bar shooting and Pittsburgh synagogue and the Madden shooting.

The media wishes to push the narrative of racism and homophobia as a "root cause" of crime (constant oppression of innocent victims?) by conservatives (who happen to be mostly white). I don't see that as hating white people but more as portraying conservatives as evil oppressors and all others (liberals?) as their preferred victims. The intent seems to be to portray political opponents as being especially evil.

The media hates you, specifically. Just you.

Why the hatred of white people, they gave this country and the world most of all the advancements we enjoy today. If you hate white people get rid of everything white people developed or invented. Let your actions speak louder than your words.

George Zimmerman was portrayed as white despite clearly being Hispanic. This isn't a liberal vs. conservative issue. It's an attack on whites.

It's the need to portray blacks (who vote overwhelmingly for demorats) as victims of racism - the Z/M case had the added bonus of placing blame on guns and SYG laws.

Blacks are often the victims of attack. They just only get attention when the perpetrators either are or can be portrayed as white. It sucks, but it's true.

They're not exactly worried about blacks voting Republican. Besides, if they were really worried about helping blacks then why do they ignore all of the crime perpetrated on them? It's because the perpetrators are usually black, and that doesn't help their racial narrative.

Interesting supposition since only 16.55% of news media is minority. The rest are white. Are you saying they hate themselves? The split is even greater and more biased towards whites in media management. But you folks go ahead and remain in your windowless, doorless silo. The bigger problem you folks have is whites that don't live in your silo.

I can understand, to a degree, your point. There seems to be a culture of victimhood that, in its crusade to confront bigotry, has created its own. An American can be one of two things, white or "of color". People who are "of color" can share in the indignation of imagining themselves to be "less than" in the eyes of white America. This bigoted paradigm is the flip side of what bigoted white people created earlier in American history, whereby a similar binary racial state existed.

The problem in making skin color an automatic token of oppression is that it's NOT automatic. There are people of color who live their entire lives without ever experiencing racial bigotry and there are white people who HAVE experienced it. I, for one, as a child was constantly being reminded that my whiteness exempted me from social equality and carried with it an ironic, presumed genetic inability to accept others as equals. I grew up in a black neighborhood and I was often excluded from parties and other events based upon my race. I was called "nigger" a lot but very often not in the inclusive, "you're my nigger" way.

That all being said, for most of this country's history, being black OR gay- much less both- would have certainly earned you the occasional bigoted, likely violent, response. The attitudes that made being black and or gay a "bad" thing survive in conservative politics today. That's what made his story so believable, as incredible as it was. Throwbacks still walk the streets of America and the halls of the White House.

When I was young, the media used to be complicit, too often, in normalizing our national bigotry and stereotypes were the only visible examples of either group that would be seen on TV. Today, the media- which has long since abandoned, with the help of conservative policy, ANY obligation to the pretense of journalistic ethics- has decided that appealing to victims is where the money is at. Thus, non-victims like Kaepernick receive the martyr attention from the media because it plays well. If you're advocating for victims, that must mean you're not a victimizer...at least that's the implied message. I think that they are trying to expand markets to include the previously disenfranchised. However, these corporate finger-waggers are forgetting that they don't deserve to lecture us while they exist as male dominated greed engines who exploit the poor in other countries.

My sense is that there is a lot of guilt that some white Americans are dealing with by beating themselves up, needlessly. Some white people even seem to believe that white privilege is a conspiracy against everyone who isn't white rather than the natural product of numeric superiority. As such, they endure anti-white bigotry as a "fair" counter punch to what they perceive as this oppressive racial dynamic.

The important thing is that almost everyone is trying to figure out what it takes to be fair. Fortunately, creeping death eventually claims the stagnant and each new baby offers hope that they can be the first to exist in a race/gender/sexuality neutral world.

Jussie is just an attention whore who is playing to the racial zeitgeist of 21st century America. He, like most people who choose victimhood to define them, are more than a little annoying. I don't think he's smart enough to know the harm that he does when he plays a role in perpetuating the worst of the past. Be careful, though, that in calling him out, you don't prove him right.

The mainstream media does not lie. If an organ of the major newspapers and broadcasting stations reports something that is not true, it reports a retraction.

Nevertheless, the various organs of the mainstream media have biases and reveal their biases by what they do not report.

Years ago in the South my newspaper editor told me, "If a civil rights story develops we are not going to cover it. Most of our readers are prejudiced. I'm prejudiced myself."

More recently I read an essay in The New York Times that said that liberals do not want to be told anything bad about blacks and homosexuals.

That concern seems to determine news coverage in the mainstream media more than what my editor told me.

When the encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was first reported on television the broadcasting stations almost universally juxtaposed a photograph of a menacing looking George Zimmerman, and a photograph of a much younger Trayvon Martin. Martin was smiling and looking sweet and innocent. The implication was that a brutal racist murdered an un offending Negro boy, "just to watch him die."

The news media had access to photos of George Zimmerman taken immediately after the encounter. Those photographs clearly showed that he had been thrown on his back and punched in the face. The news media also had access of more recent photographs of Trayvon Martin. In those photos Martin was giving the finger to the camera, or showing gang symbols with his hand.
