Unable to convince any NFL owners to pay him to SCREW UP THEIR TEAMS, Kaepernick deiced to PLAY THE RACE CARD for $$, and it paid off.

Was there EVER ANY DOUBT THAT HIS "HIGH MORAL GROUND" was REALLY ALL ABOUT THE $$$$ ?

So much for The Noble Struggle of Race Baiting, insulting our LEOs , Military and Flag.

Good riddance. The NFL is run by jelly-backed idiots.

NFL reaches financial settlement with Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid

In a stunning decision, quarterback Colin Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid have reached a financial settlement with the NFL in their joint collusion complaint against the league and will take no further action in the case. While sources declined to offer specifics for the decision, Yahoo Sports was told on prior occasions that Kaepernick and Reid would only settle the complaint if a lucrative financial agreement was reached between the players and the NFL.

The league and Kaepernick’s attorneys released a statement Friday saying the matter had been resolved confidentially. As part of that confidentiality, it is believed both sides signed a non-disclosure agreement agreeing not to speak publicly about details of the case or settlement.

A multi-billion dollar deep-pockets entity settling out of court to make a pest go away isn't exactly unheard of.

The ADMISSION that this was ALWAYS NOTHING MORE THAN A CYNCAL MONEY GRAB, by PLAYING THE RACE CARD, is.

Okay. On a related note, who admitted that?

No, the NFL was sued because they colluded to preven Kaepernick from practing his profession because of his political opinions. He was paid for the salary he lost because of the NFL's actions.

People like you don't believe in freedom. You believe that Kapernick should be forced to stand for the anthem like in North Korea. Why don't you just move to North Korea?

Those soldiers died to preserve our freedom. Is there something about the word freedom that you don't understand?

I guess won't mind when some conservative athlete is blackballed?

His BULL**** "racism" lawsuit against the NFL ended...BECAUSE HE GOT PAID.

1 + 1 = 2.

Hmmm. You mean 1 + X = ? Seeing as the terms were confidential ("X"), wherein is this supposed admission you refer to?

You're uninformed. It wasn't a racism lawsuit. It was a collusion lawsuit. It was about being prevented from working and being repaid for his lost wages. So, of course, it was about money--his lost wages.

Now, go buy a ticket to North Korea where everyone stands for the national anthem like you want.

WOW!!! trump helped somebody make money for once.

The ruling based on the initial evidence—which was reported to have included many pages of electronic communications records, as well as several depositions with key NFL owners and executives—set up the potential for a major loss by the league.

Both the Kaepernick and Reid grievances cited President Donald Trump’s role in pressuring NFL owners to bar any players who protested during the national anthem. The New York Times reported that NFL owners held a closed-door meeting in October 2017 in which a number of them appeared terrified of Trump. The Wall Street Journal further reported that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had been asked by Trump to deliver a message to the owners about the protest movement. “This is a very winning, strong issue for me,” Trump said, according to the Journal’s account of Jones’ deposition. “Tell everybody, you can’t win this one. This one lifts me.”

Colin Kaepernick’s settlement with the NFL was a big win for the leader of the league'''s protest movement.

Colin didn't have the athletic ability to overcome his politics. It was smart of him to accept the settlement instead of going to court where he would of faced a uphill battle to prove his case. If he truly loved to play the game he could of gone to the Canadian league, like other players have done, and kept up his skills making him a viable option for teams needing a QB. Hopefully he will be able to move on and discover what his life has in store post NFL

It will be interesting if Colin is smart enough to do well with the money. Just maybe he will spend it away and become like some who made it rich but could not hold onto it.

LOL! It's fun to watch you struggle to understand what happened here.

The NFL didn't want to go through discovery and have their dirty laundry exposed in open court. Otherwise, they had no reason to settle.

No money or race card played here, but your desperate need to pretend there was is always amusing to watch.

Really? A guy who lead his team to the Superbowl and lost in a tight game didn't have the 'athletic ability to overcome his politics'?

What a laughably meaningless statement.

He has probably given more to charity already than you will earn in your lifetime. ;)

.....He recently completed his Million Dollar Pledge, where he donated $1,000,000 of his own money to 37 different organizations......

Kaepernick created his RACE BAITING "protest" to gain attention, and GET PAID on the heel of his MEDIOCRE-AT-BEST career. PERIOD.

I not only believe in Freedom...I understand who PAYS FOR IT, including for Kaepernick, UNLIKE Kaepernick.

Yes really his last season played waa a 2/14 year. His arm wasn't aa good nor did he move around like he once did. Look at Manning in NY he went from giving Brady his only lose the year they won the SB to his team finishing last the past few years in their division.
Ability does fade it's laughable and meaningless to not recognize that simple fact of life

What a delight it is, to see you forced into such transparent dishonesty when you fear black men who are far more powerful and successful than you've ever been.

Your jealousy is almost palpable.

Same with Pres.Trump...but I don't see him trying to hide behind skin color, denigrating our police officers, or disrespecting our flag, and those who have died defending it.

So what? He didn't have the team he once had. Coaches also changed.

He was signed to a 6 year contract in 2014, and last played in 2016. He didn't physically degrade/decline in two years to such an extent that he wasn't any good anymore or that his ability faded in two years.

The statistics disagree with your opinion.

I'm not say he wasn't an average QB his last season. I'm saying his average ability in his last season wasn't good enough to overcome his politics. If he was a better player he would of had or maybe even still have a spot on a teams roster no matter what his politics. Better players get away with more an unfortunate fact in the NFL
