The money belongs to the Executive Branch. Trump is the boss of the Executive Branch. He cannot steal what already belongs to himself.

You're the one saying he "stole" the money. He didn't. The funds had already been appropriated and he's merely reallocating them.

If you look/read closely at the USMC deal, it provides billions to the U.S through trade. Once Congress passes that bill, the money will be there!

It's DISCRETIONARY SPENDING, of Exec.Branch FUNDS....protecting our border security, as opposed to using the same authority to ENRICH HIS DONORS, like Obama did for SOLYNDRA, etal….

Huh. Report I heard said it had been allocated elsewhere and Trump is grabbing it on the 'emergency' pretext. If it was already money to be used at his discretion, what was the shutdown all about? And the "emergency"?

Exactly. A half billion down the crapper for Solyndra was a wise use of funds. Protecting our sovereignty isn't.

Well, he wanted more money and he wanted funding directly allocable to the wall.

To put things another way, he wanted Congress to appropriate funds sufficient for him to do his Constitutionally required job and he wanted congress to allocate those funds in such a way that he wouldn't have to play piddly ass games so that he could do his Constitutionally required job.

Hell, Trump should find $15 or $20 billion that would otherwise get wasted and do the job right. It's truly hilarious watching the left suddenly get all fiscally prudent and concerned about abuses of power. Where were they during the 8 year fiasco of President Mom Jeans?

Wrong. Only the Congress has the 'power of the purse' and it is ONLY within the power of Congress to approve government money for specific funds. Trump does not have the power to simply move money appropriated for specifically for military funding. That is ILLEGAL.

Congress already exercised their "power of the purse" by allocating money to various parts of the Executive Branch...and not all of it is for a specific purpose.

Trump...as President...does have the power to move Executive Branch money.

And Trump said himself the shutdown was on him. Said he was proud to take the responsibility. So why do Trumpsters all want to take the credit away from Trump and make it blame for Pelosi?
