McConnell sets a dangerous precedent

The legal immigrant takes the US immigration test. Get it?
That was my point, genius. The discussion isn’t about legal immigrants. Duh.
The fed gov't forces states to do many things: We could start with the 13th amendment...Legalizing same sex marriage...Allowing DACA kids to reside in the US (oops, that's on BO).
Going on an off subject rant doesn’t make you appear any less informed.

Learn about what you want to discuss before ignorantly opining.

So, if kids are bused into schools and colleges to receive ESL courses to learn English, there's a good change those kids are illegal immigrants or kids of illegal immigrants because no one in their family took the American citizenship test. Therefore, illegals are receiving free education.
And you said the fed gov't doesn't allow for free housing, health care, education, etc., I just sayin' the fed gov't doesn't prevent it, either.

That all depends on the wording of the law passed by congress that allows for the president to declare emergencies. And I suspect that this will ultimately be decided by the courts based upon that wording. It was congress that gave the president this power, so its hard for them to whine about its use. And if they want to change the law now, that is certainly within their power.

It's NOT within their power when the Senate is not willing to offer any checks and balances to the executive. The Senate is just the fascist rubber stamp department, lacking any integrity or balls. They are creating dictator Trump with their apathy and spinelessness.

While it is always entertaining to hear an unhinged rant, it doesnt address my post in the slightest

Yes children of illegal immigrants get free public school. SCOTUS made that ruling.

Yes, the federal government absolutely does prevent federal funds from being used to house, feed, and provide routine medical care to illegal immigrants.

It's not a rant, it's the facts. When you say "It was congress who gave the president this power", that doesn't explain which congress and whether they were lazy, republican power whores trying to speed this nation to its death.

The House of representatives was controlled by democrats for 40 uninterrupted years until Gingrich and the republicans took over in 1992, so the legislation had to pass through, if not originate, in a democratic House.

Hilarious how many people are super strict constructionist until they aren't.
