Trump just killed the emergency act move

he's not a dictator (yet)

just because he wants something does not make it a good idea that was denied by congress

such as the wall and such as mexico paying for said wall

Whether it's a good idea or not is irrelevant to our discussion, which is me claiming that Congress has done something and you wanting to know how they did it.

Moving on...

No, I would prefer for him to realize that the vast majority of the people of this country don't want his giant tribute to himself, and that Congress, having been elected by those people, told him no.
He wasnt elected to be popular. He was elected to a leader.

how is one an effective leader while being unable to convince the 'followers' to buy into his purpose

Do you honestly believe the democrats are being honest about why they are opposed to building a wall?

absolutely

more significantly, the general public does not support spending $5 billion for 'the wall'

Do you agree with them that it is immoral to put up a wall?

Trump had two years with a majority in BOTH houses and said dick all during that time about an "Emergency" of any kind...he was too busy lying about Puerto Rico and that "emergency".

During the two years of majority and two SOTN's he never said word one about an emergency, THAT only came into being when his girlfriend tore him a new asshole.

And we know who really runs the show - Kelly Anne!

Sp please cease and desist with the outright BULL****. **** that' insulting!

I have said more than once the do nothing party needs to go the way of the dodo bird. They did nothing because they are owned by the same rich and powerful that own the democrats or the resistance. The rich and powerful want to continue to exploit illegal immigrants the same as they did slavery. Cheap labor to make them rich and to drive down wages for all workers. Sorry but I will never support exploiting people. 10 million people in this country illegally is and has been an emergency. You are right Trump has had no support from either of the bought and paid for party puppets that the rich and powerful fund and own.

No. However, I do believe that it is a stupid proposition

May i ask why?

Do you believe that putting up a barrier will not reduce the flow of illegal activity across the border or do you believe the flow should not be decreased?

sure. the federal employees who enforce border security tell us the walls are not essential to border security:
Walls and fences are temporary solutions that focus on the symptom (illegal immigration) rather than the problem (employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens) ~ National Border Patrol Council/AFGE
Walls and fences are only a speed bump,” the webpage read. “People who want to come to the United States to obtain employment will continue to go over, under and around the walls and fences that are constructed

if we want to solve the problem we should do the things that will end our nation's being a jobs magnet
E-verify exists. make it mandatory. this is the easiest thing congress could do since the system now exists and it would eliminate the employer being able to assert they were unaware of the employee's undocumented status
then enforce the law against employers hiring illegals. and ignore any excuse that ICE is too under-staffed to accomplish that. for much less than the cost of 'the wall', ICE could be adequately staffed. but even easier would be to reward those who contact the 1.800.illegal and identify an undocumented worker and the employer deserving to be fined for hiring an illegal worker. then give the caller a portion of the fine that results from the phone call. overnight, we would have a cottage industry of co-workers who put money in their pockets by identifying offending workers and employers
finally, with the exception of life saving medical attention, eliminate all federal assistance programs for the undocumented. no licenses. no federal subsidies. no education for the kids
then, being unable to earn an income, or provide for their kids' welfare, the undocumented members of US society would return to their homelands at their own expense. that WOULD actually become a caravan of illegals - headed south

Faith is an issue of theological merit or religion. There is no basis for a discussion of a DP poster's faith within a legal context.

Yeah. There’s a problem with that. The dictionary says otherwise. Maybe try expanding your vocabulary beyond your bigotry. [emoji2369]

would find your prediction more credible if it were logic that you were relying upon

Just because you can’t grasp it, or simply disagree, doesn’t mean it lacks logic.

however, the congress' determination that the wall was not essential enough to fund should offer ample evidence that there is no emergency compelling the immediate construction of the wall

my wife keeps insisting the wall should be constructed of hillary's emails ... since no one can get over them

If that was the only context, maybe. Since we have no legal context of what an emergency is or can be, and since this has been an issue for decades. An issue that has led other congress, and other presidents to take action like DACA, I’d have to respectfully disagree.
