Women Sue Yale Over a Fraternity Culture They Say Enables Harassment

Not so much Yale as fraternities and the chauvinistic male culture as a whole. Basically it's another "men bad. women abused and neglected victims." thing.

In other words: pure opportunism. Some saw a chance to cash in and took it.

"Some women are happy to conform to my misogynist fantasies. They like it."

smh

All that is necessary is to look LONG enough and HARD enough to find them.

Is attendance to these off campus, extra caricular activities mandatory?

That has nothing to do with the fact that women are minorities and that's why it's different than for men.

This is a simple concept. Most elementary school children can grasp it. Once someone has grasped the concept, stupid comments like the one I quoted in the reply to which you refer, become obvious.

You mean stubby and flabby enough.

His post refers to harassment and women liking it. I don't see grey area. I see a big creep flag flying proud.

Oh yeah, but he just couldn't keep himself from making stupid statements that are sure to drag the dregs out in agreement....

I can boil it down to one word: hypergamy . Or more colloquially, gold-digging.

I watched a talk by Camille Paglia recently. She's one of the world's most renowned academic feminists and I really respect her measured view of men and women.

She said that in the 1950's, women on American college campuses had a curfew, while the men did not. The college rationale was that women had to be kept safe. Paglia and others of the first wave fought for women to have the freedom to "risk being raped" in order to have the freedom to conduct their own night lives, and they won.

She says that now, women are fighting for the opposite. They want authority to step in a protect them from all that ails them, and it's a regression back to the way things used to be for women. They want the authority to baby them.

She argues that if women want the freedom to risk being raped, they also have to regard men with a certain sense of caution. You can't put yourself in a social scene with a lot of drunk college frat boys and expect the social scene to protect you. This is not rape apologism, it's common sense. Men are responsible for their behavior and so are women. It goes both ways.

When I look at this article, that's what I'm reminded of. You went to an off campus frat party with alcohol and got upset when a bunch of drunk college boys didn't respect your body. Now you're suing over it, and asking mommy and daddy to protect you.

Where is the personal responsibility? For the men AND the women?

The controversial thing that Paglia says is that perhaps women are not ready to be treated equally to men because whenever men encroach upon them, they appeal to the parental authority to come to save them. This causes regressive laws and rules to be made that actually hinder a woman's freedom.

There's no such thing as freedom without personal responsibility or freedom from consequences.

To me, his comment is objectionable regardless of OP or anything else. There is nothing that could make his statement anything other than misogynist horse crap.

"Some women like it, it's the ugly ones that don't."

Seems things haven't changed much from when Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh attended Yale.

The ungodly will keep on doing ungodly things unless or until they turn to Jesus for forgiveness of their sins and a new heart and life making them new creatures.

In case my explanation didn't make it clear enough for you, take a look at this:

You understand what I was talking about now? Clear enough?

Don't need to read the article to see that, do you? I think you should have a grasp of the problem now.

Still can't see the problem? Is it a vision or comprehension difficulty?

I think you need to calm down, and reread my post. I'm making exactly the same point.

Then your post was made in jest or an angle I didn't see?

I was surprised to see you apparently defending sexism. I'm glad it was a misunderstanding.

My point - no reading of the OP, the OP article or anything else in existence could excuse the sexism to which I objected.

No woman is complimented by a grope, no matter how attractive the groper might imagine he is.

If you're at a party and you're talking to a guy who is obviously attracted to you and you don't tell him to get away and he makes a move on you that isn't harassment. Furthermore, if you're standing there like a bump on a log and some other woman across the room has a guy with his hand up her shirt and she isn't telling him to get off her that's HER issue, not yours.

I agree with you, and do not understand what about my comment was difficult to understand.

Of course there is no excuse.

I dunno where the misunderstanding occurred. I'm just glad you're not supporting sexist crap. That would have been a disappointment.

Jealous unattractive women are the ones that report "harassment". Some chicks enjoy a nice little swat on the tushy.

Depends on where you hang out, I guess. I'd purely love to see you try out that theory hereabouts.

You’re one of those sad creepy dudes at a seedy strip club pissing away dollar bills on women that wouldn’t give you the time of day on the street.

OK Socrates. At colleges these days there are clear guidelines for consent. I don't wish to imagine what you might think is a "move" but drunken men should probably count to three or more before making one.

Is the women across the room inebriated or passed out?

Your assumption that good looking women welcome "moves" is ridiculous, and your need to make offensive comments about who you do or do not find attractive enough to grope is noted.

pissing away dollar bills on women that wouldn’t give you the time of day on the street.

That they wouldn't give the time on the street is irrelevant. It's not about fantasy girlfriends, it's about fantasy power. As long as those dollars keep flowing, he's the boss. It's about power, not sex.

They seem to be claiming that they have no choice to avoid putting themselves somewhere they expect inappropriate behavior to take place and theycare blaming the university even though whatever their complaint is happens off csmpus.

These women need to be told to go **** themselves
