Well, well, well...looks like the claims of the FAKE NEWS/LYING LEFT/LYING LEFT "FACT FAKERS" in regards to crime in El Paso, BEFORE and AFTER THE WALL...are TOTAL BULL****. :poke

President Trump's statement are PROVEN TRUE, BY EL PASO'S OWN POLICE DATA.

El Paso Police's OWN DATA Shows Trump is Absolutely Correct About Crime and the Wall There

Here is the El Paso crime data from LOCAL POLICE DATA, who know more about it than anyone.

UNALTERED, UNEDITED from a SOURCE WITH NO POLITICAL AGENDA IN THIS MATTER.

Crime in El Paso, Texas (TX): murders, rapes, robberies, assaults, burglaries, thefts, auto thefts, arson, law enforcement employees, police officers, crime map

Notice that the El Paso total crime rate was HIGHER THAN THE NATIONAL AVERAGE (280.5), at 364.4 in 2002, (earliest year in the data), and STAYED HIGHER UNTIL 2007, when it dropped to 279.5, (after the wall was began)...and then has DROPPED EVER SINCE, CONTRARY TO THE FAKE NEWS/LEFT LIES.

As of 2016 it was at 199.7 FAR LOWER THAN THE NATIONAL AVERAGE, and EVER FARTHER BELOW THE PRE WALL CRIME RATE IN EL PASO.

WHY HAVE THE FAKE NEWS/LYING LEFT/LYING LEFT "FACT FAKERS" BEEN LYING ABOUT THIS INFORMATION???

Or are the EL PASO POLICE LYING? Der....

Here in Los Angeles, we are being told that crime is down to 1950s levels.

Yeah, right!

They massage the statistics.

Many crimes are simply NOT reported by victims or NOT counted by the police or NOT counted as felonies anymore.

President Trump says the brutal and hurtful truth, causing liberals to become totally unhinged.

LA has been notoriously corrupt for DECADES.....and when will the FAKE NEWS/LYING LEFT/LEFT "FACT FAKERS" admit they LIED about the crime data, in El Paso?

JUST KIDDING...we ALL KNOW THAT THAT SURE AS HELL AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN....

US Conference of Mayors defends El Paso mayor after Trump said he was 'full of crap' about barrier

Margo told The Hill on Monday that the U.S.-Mexico border needed "manpower and technology." But he stressed that a physical barrier is "part of a total strategy and process for security." "It's not a panacea and it's not a be-all end-all," he said. Officials in El Paso County passed a resolution on Monday stating that the city is "disillusioned by President Trump’s lies regarding the border and our community." The resolution noted that the county's violent crime rate dropped 62 percent from 1993 to 2007, and that a fence wasn't installed until 2008.

:rofl

Talk about cherry picking the numbers! Your own link and the crime index you cited directly disproves your conclusion:

From 2002 to 2007 (when you claim the wall was "started") the crime index dropped by 85 points. (364.4 to 279.3 over 5 years) From 2007 to 2016 the crime index dropped by 79 points. (279.3 to 199.7 over 9 years!) So: the rate of decrease in crime was much higher before the wall was built. Building the wall caused less of a decrease in crime than existed before the wall was "started."

The crime index fell much faster before the wall was built than it did after! You are blatantly misquoting statistics from your own source and using them to draw a false conclusion.

I'm glad you're not a scientist analyzing data. You're awful at interpreting data. Just looking at the data from YOUR link:

El Paso's crime index is only above the national average in 2002, 2003 and 2004. From then on it falls below the national average. It does drop after 2007 but so does the U.S. average.

And if you look at other statistics like rape and murder you don't see any change. Rapes in 2014, 2015 and 2016 are even higher than they were before the wall.

Are you just mathematically illiterate? I think reading graphs and charts are part of 7th-grade math.

I didn't "cherry pick" ****... El Paso HAD a crime index HIGHER THAN THE NATIONAL AVERAGE until 2007..AFTER THE WALL was bring built, and it has dropped to WELL BELOW the National Average since the wall was completed.

Can't follow the VERY EASYTO READ CHART ????

UNEDITED; UNALTRRED...the ACTUAL DATA.

Unlike the NONSTOP LIES of the FAKE NEWS/LYING LEFT/LYING LEFT "FACT FAKERS"...El Paso crime ABSOLUTELY DROPPED AFTER THE WALL was built...almost immediately poon its beginning.

SORRY...NO WAY TO "SPIN" IT into WHAT YOU WANT TO PRETEND IS TRUE.

Do you really have THAT MUCH TROUBLE FOLLOWING SUCH A SIMPLE CHART???

We all knew this. Why do you jump through hoops when Trumpets posts distortions like this.

It's done by them to distract from truth. To misdirect where the real conversation should be.

Why has Beelzebub come to earth as Trump is what we need ponder and struggle against.

I didn't "cherry pick" ****... El Paso HAD a crime index HIGHER THAN THE NATIONAL AVERAGE until 2007..

No, not according to your link. According to YOUR link, El Paso's crime index is higher than the U.S. average in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2005 it's lower.

I wish I could post the chart in your link, but it's Flash.

Here is the same chart from another source...

The bottom line is that walls work. Why democrats claim they don't remains a mystery.

Huh? The data doesn't support your statement. That's the bottom line. The wall didn't change crime rates in El Paso.

Is it possible that the kind of people desperately escaping poverty for jobs in the U.S. tend not to be murders and rapists? Maybe they're hardworking people willing to do the most difficult and menial jobs to support their families.

Trump could make an argument for better border security without lying. These people are generally not criminals. What's wrong with telling the truth?

Because democrats have facts on their side. Walls work to prevent crimes of opportunity. Walls don't work to curb illegal immigration.

What should devout democrats do? Consult charts to see if walls stop the unflux of illegals. No, some charts say walls do not, so ignore the testimony of border control agents and law enforcement officers and fight like hell to keep Trump from building a wall.

What should democrats do? They see tens of thousands of illegals pressing to enter the US illegally seeking a better life, and want to do something. Why don't they do something to change the laws instead of advocating people break them by the tens of thousands?

They hate Trump for upholding the laws of the land like he swore he would do.

If conservatives really wanted to curb illegal immigration they would simply throw the employers in prison. Problem solved.

I hope you haven't been fooled into believing that conservatives really want to end illegal immigration. Surely, Trump pardoning an employer who hired hundreds of them should have clued you in.

LOL.

Your data doesn’t support your claim at all.

First, look at the violent crime rate- that’s really what we care about, right?

Not much change pre and post wall (or at least your pretend date of the wall).

Crime is lower than national averages both before and after.

But 2010 certainly seems like a bit of an inflection point.

For that, I think we can all say “Thanks, Obama!”

I don't why is it SO HARD TO READ THE SIMPLE DATA I PROVIDED.

GOOD GRIEF.

That National Average is 280.5; the El Paso index was ABOVE THAT, UNTIL 2007.

And NO , it is OBVIOUSLY NOT, the "same chart".

I provided the EL PASO PD's data.

Why are you giving Obama credit for the economic improvements in 2010? Don't you know Trump turned the economy around in 2010 by traveling back in time after he entered office in 2017?

But obviously 2010 is around the time that the economy began improving which explains why crime would begin to drop.

LOL, you're thicker than Trump's proposed concrete wall. There's no getting through to you.

The crime rate dropped in El Paso every year from 2002. There is no "until 2007."

The crime rate is:

2002: 364
2003: 344
2004: 319
2005: 287
2006: 286
2007: 280
2008: 279
2009: 262
2010: 249
2011: 233

(This is from your own link)

You're tring to make it seem like it suddenly dropped in 2007 after a wall. The numbers say differently.

And when you claimed it dropped "below the national average" you have to look at the national average AT THE TIME not today! To claim that El Paso has a lot of crime it had to have more crime than the national average AT THE TIME.

Apparently you are unfamiliar with the well known practice of local Public Safety biasing its numbers to suggest they are holding the line against an onslaught of crime. Gee, why do you think they do that? Plus they will support ANY and I do mean any federally funded program that "might" even have a modest impact because its not coming out of their budget. Asking them to provide data relevant to a federally funded border wall is like asking the Fox if he thought those free chickens were tasty.

Dead giveaway....showing neighboring communities in TX that even combined don't even put a dent in El Paso's population.
Another dead giveaway....the data points do not cover the period when El Paso's crime rate really declined rapidly. Local public safety always wants to make the case that it is fighting a losing battle. "Send us more money....send us more money."

I would favor any national data particularly data for cities of similar population to El Paso over local Public Safety numbers in this instance.
