Jews Need Not Apply

They probably could have adopted a black baby.Wasn't Sammy Davis JR Jewish?

JCAN is in New York, not South Carolina. Posting misleading crap like you just posted is the same as lying.

^ What a bizarre message. What difference does the state make? The issue YOU raised is being discriminatory upon religion in seeking adoption only by parents of the same religion. Grok's message is 100% on point.

Soo DOES THIS ONE, as they should. as they are performing a service that benefits the state, as is the Christian agency .

The left is ASTOUNDED that people get to PRACTICE THEIR RELIGION, AND HELP THE PUBLIC...

"CHRISTIANS NEED NOT APPLY".

Jewish Children's Adoption Network – Finding Jewish Homes for Jewish Children

Stop the duplicitous BULL****.

Does the JCAN receive government funding, either state or federal?

I don't have a religion-based agency focusing on their specific faith, as long as they are operating on charitable donations only - NO government funding.

Reading is fundamental, and it's obvious you did not read the article in context. Here is an excerpt.

"My husband and I initially reached out to the adoptions division of the state Department of Social Services office in Greenville County. However, the agency was backlogged, with expected wait times of about a year for a foster-adoptive license. The director suggested that we work with a private agency, Miracle Hill, which had an orphanage full of school-aged boys and would be able to move forward right away."

The "Christian" agency was who the State of South Carolina recommended,
because they were backlogged and had no time for that family.

Do you "grok" it yet?
Pathetic.

So what?!?

Did the director know that the private agency dealt with Christian parents only? Did the couple tell the director they were Jewish?

Not every Christian agency barres other faith couples from adoption.

With all the controversy about whether homosexuals should be allowed to adopt children, something just as important has been missed. The issue IS special treatment for people who are Protestants, in violation of the Establishment Clause. Some states don't limit their bias against just gays. In South Carolina, Jews need not apply either. As a man with some Jewish blood (from my mother), this is an insult. For those who claim we need religion in government, my reply is "Whose religion? Yours only?". Until South Carolina, as well as some of the pompous assholes who claim to be born again (but are truly not), cleans up it's act, I will continue to see them for what they are...... The Unholy American Taliban. Give me just one damn good reason why a loving Jewish family should not be allowed to adopt a child. Just ONE. I'm listening, and loaded for bear, I await your reply.

I was barred from becoming a foster parent because I am Jewish - Jewish Telegraphic Agency

Okay; I read up on this a little more in several other articles, and my conclusion is:

This is another stink article to demonize Trump and Christianity.

That's why the Jewish lady in said article also made it a point to blame the Trump administration for issuing a waiver.

But nobody points out that Miracle Hill has been "in operation" for 80 years and up until just before Trump's inauguration, nobody gave a **** about the agency's "religious bias".
That's right! They've been operating that way up until the end of 2016, when Obama issued restrictions.
Following these restrictions, the agency became the same type of target as bakers and photographers who didn't want to have anything to do with same sex marriages.

The lunatics on the left once again started their destructive ****!

Jan 23, 2019 - "The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday granted Greenville-based Miracle Hill Ministries an exemption to continue its faith-based foster care program that works only with Christians.

Miracle Hill has been operating its program for decades, but its recruiting policy came under scrutiny after the Obama administration implemented a new regulation for federal funding recipients shortly before the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The regulation prohibits groups receiving federal funding from discriminating on the basis of religion.

... The Administration for Children and Families, a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, granted the exemption Wednesday to protect the religious liberty of all faith-based foster care providers in South Carolina.

"It protects minors who are in need of as many options as possible for being placed in loving foster families," Lynn Johnson, assistant secretary for the Administration of Children and Families, said in a statement. "The government should not be in the business of forcing foster care providers to close their doors because of their faith. Religious freedom is a fundamental human right.”

Miracle Hill, the largest provider of foster families in South Carolina for foster children who do not have significant special needs, does not allow gay couples or families that don’t agree with its statement of faith to serve as foster parents through its program. However, it does direct those of different beliefs to other foster care programs.

... Within the past 10 months, Miracle Hill Ministries and its board members have been the target of hate mail and hate calls. Someone even threatened to burn down the organization’s building, Miracle Hill President and CEO Reid Lehman said.

... "If anyone – Jewish, Muslim, atheist, any religion or no religion said 'I want to foster a child' and they looked like a healthy person, we would try to help them find someone to take them through the licensing process because kids need it," he said.

... Federal law prohibits discrimination in federally-funded programs against foster parents on religious grounds, but 10 states permit discrimination by state -licensed foster care organizations against LGBTQ people, same-sex couples and others if doing so conflicts with the organization's beliefs, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) said in a release Thursday. ..."

In other words, liberals again would rather see a "business" shut down then let it operate the way it had for generations, benefiting employees ... and most of all children.
If the place shuts down, are you all willing to take the hundreds of kids? Will you take next month's wave of children? Will you take teenage boys that are "difficult"?

They did the smart thing by leaving South Carolina altogether and relocating to Philadelphia.
