Five kids, ages 12 - 16, charged in shooting death of Nashville musician



NASHVILLE - Five juveniles under the age of 16 have been charged in the shooting death of Nashville musician Kyle Yorlets, 24.

Yorlets was killed in an attempted robbery outside of his home in Nashville on Feb. 7, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Three girls, ages 12, 14, and 15, and two boys, ages 13 and 16, were charged with criminal homicide. They were arrested at a West Nashville Walmart.

When I lived in Nashville, a white man about age-40 murdered a newlywed couple from California, manipulating the husband's desire to be a country music star (he was 24 too), bludgeoning them both in their hotel room. Oh, and he raped the man's young wife.

Do you suppose society has any responsibility? What if the parents of those children were in prison?

I wonder if those kids had much time playing violent video games?

Guns and murder is what America has become, unfortunately. We've been at war for 17 years now.

Guns!! It's the guns I tell you!!! If there were simply no guns around, these kids would have been in Bible study class.:lamo
 
A quick search says that the criminals above 14 can be tried as adults, I hope they are. Two of them may get off easy but the other 3 should face long prison terms
 
It could just be a Red State thing. You know, where the poor go third-world nation within a vibrant city full of glitz which caters to the rich.

It is sickening ... I believe the 3 older ones will be tried as adults. However, expect a lot of boohoohing and lamenting from the black community to shift blame.
Already a black preacher man was interviewed and he had a meltdown about the black "poverty" etc. etc. etc. ... but never mentioned that what the kids did was horrendous.

30 to 20 years ago I went into Nashville by myself. Today I only go there with my husband ... and we "pack".
Nashville, like Memphis, is a democrat stronghold within a red state, no matter who is mayor or governor.
