Yeah, I've lived in Europe where healthcare and education is subsidized, and it's quiet lovely and encouraging that you can see that the community is supporting the elderly and investing in their kids' future ... err, I mean 'hellish landscape' filled with progressive marxist socialist communists (ghoulish screaming).

Bring on free healthcare for everyone. Bring on free education for everyone. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. Have the government take over and dictate to large employers. It's called a Utopian society and this is what a Utopian society looks like:

Not the Utopia I envision.

Considering EVERY universal healthcare system in the world, literally dozens and dozens of countries, is dramatically cheaper than our system, how can you defend saying we should pay more and more to get less and less? There is no example on earth of a healthcare system like the Republicans want that isn't a third-world ****hole. Not one.

And people are arrested for simply saying something that someone finds offensive on Facebook or Twitter.

Arrests for offensive Facebook and Twitter posts soar in London

According to the Register, a total of 2,500 Londoners have been arrested over the past five years for allegedly sending “offensive” messages via social media. In 2015, 857 people were detained, up 37 per cent increase since 2010.

Most of them are on much smaller scale than would be required for this country. European countries have much smaller populations.

None work worth a crap, and none service a nation of our size.

Yes, they actually work beautifully. I've had medical care in Switzerland, Germany and Norway, and they experiences were easily the equal of what I've had here.

You have no idea, whatsoever, what you're talking about.

High taxes + govt health care + free education = Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, etc. Not Venezuela.

They have a law prohibiting such things, and don't have the same constitutional protections we do. In Germany, Nazi type paraphernalia is prohibited, I'm told. They also have government health care. No swastikas is a small price to pay for health care.

what's your point? I have Medicare and could fly a Nazi flag if I wanted, so health care doesn't mean no bill of rights for us old people... or poor, or vets. Or do you fear, say, that a Medicare for all bill will have Facebook and Twitter amendments to the constitution attached to it since we lefties love Europe so much?

Steal from the rich and give to the poor the poster states. So let me ask, who doesn't like Robin Hood? The right is so conditioned in their responses they don't realize they are defending the rich stealing from the poor and have been for decades. I also notice they don't use any of the countries that have much better health care for all in their utopian rants. Government bad, taxes bad, choice bad. The powers that be in the GOP have done a fantastic job of convincing their base to vote against their own best interests for years. Stupid is as stupid does.

US also has free education, tho not for college. Also lots of government health care, tho not for everyone. We'll get there.

This "we're too big for that to work, they're all micro countries!" nonsense is ridiculously incorrect and unsupported by reality. You can not point to one single successful healthcare system run anything like what Republicans call for. It has nothing to do with size, this could be run at the state level if necessary, it's because the closed-minded idiots lost everywhere else but we still have you guys fighting.

It is the equivalent of a misdemeanor

We have similar laws in the US

There is no law in the US that gets someone arrested simply for saying something offensive on Facebook or Twitter. None.

Isn't the Republican attempts to remove healthcare insurance from 24 million Americans much better than Europe's method?

Oh wait.....

I have no problem with Medicare for all. I've advocated for that and free education. But the OP was not about health care. It was about socialism. Democratic socialism if you want to be exact. Such forms of governance is an anathema to what the US is about.

Highest quality of life in the world are in countries in Europe.

Meanwhile, US has some pretty abhorrent statistics for such a rich, successful country
