Customs officers make largest fentanyl seizure ever at Arizona border crossing


NOGALES – Customs officers stationed at the commercial border crossing in Nogales made the largest fentanyl seizure ever recorded at any port of entry in the United States the day after President Donald Trump signed a bill putting an end to the longest government shutdown in history.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a canine officer alerted other officers to the presence of 254 pounds of fentanyl hidden inside an 18-wheeler carrying cucumbers, during a secondary inspection at the Mariposa port of entry just past noon on Saturday.

And I believe the Dems have proposed money for additional security at the border crossings. The funds would include high tech surveillance equipment to bust these folks killing our kids.

The only real way to deal with this country's drug problem is at the source, which is actually here and which is addiction itself. Big Pharma, companies like Purdue are the real drug dealers. They have left the country with a massive problem while making billions of $$s.

True, big pharm and the doctors they paid off to write scripts for pain killers has led to high addiction rates. Why is big pharm being let off the hook, hmm ?

They are already doing that, without new walls. This is why Trump and you have no business making decisions about border security with OUR money. Use your own for your harebrained wall.

Drones fly over walls like they were not even there. Walls won't stop drugs.This one lifts over 50 lbs.

Democrats: There is no crisis at our southern border so Trump is lying and you should realize the only moral choice left is to vote democrat in 2020.

P.S. If elected we democrats will stop drug crimes cold by legalizing drugs. Crisis averted!
