He was grateful. He made the wrong move. But absent malice or reckless disregard I don't think a lawsuit is justified. That should be for patterns of behavior or clear violations of decent behavior. Not a "one off".

That should be handled interpersonally, by an intermediary if she's too sensitive. Then drop the hammer if it happens again, or similar.

Full court press for every little thing is not a good idea, IMO. Not when he may have meant no harm or offense.

(He could actually be a dickhead. But she could just be looking for a payday. My point is more "overall" as to the subject at hand)

Myself personally it is all about professionalism and CYA (Cover Your Ass). Hugging is definitely not professional (IMO) and the CYA portion I follow prevents me from doing so while at work, even if I know the person very well. This may all be blown out of proportion or this could be a habit with this guy to touch women, I don't know.

I'm more interested in how the OP read this article and then went "Trump is going to win re-election" when the two are not even remotely connected.

I get it. I do AV for conventions. I have to put lapel microphones on women all the time. It is a touchy, always-get-permission situation.

It doesn't matter what is reasonable to her, it matters what is reasonable to a jury. I am not sure you are really getting the meaning of reasonable person when it comes to a court case.
