EPA is much more powerful today than it was when created in 1970. Corporations can try and push back,but don't think they have been successful overall.
Hate to say it but you're maybe a little in the weeds on that. EPA is one of a dozen agencies under an enormous amount of regulatory capture. Think about who the last two EPA heads are. You gotta be kidding me.
And in point of fact, President Trump wants EPA to roll back all of the recent automotive air quality and fuel efficiency regs.
