The reports coming out of the media are all searching for a side to take, but this much I do know as a DC native:
Whenever you go down there, no matter what day or what time, expect a handful of very vocal protest groups to be there, and expect varying levels of confrontation.

You never know what group will be there, you never know what the message is going to be.
But rest assured, if you're from the hinterlands, it's like nothing you have ever experienced.

Black Hebrew Israelites?
They're the tip of the iceberg compared to what walks around that square, and by that I mean "mild"...they're mild.

Native Am groups have been drumming there for forty/fifty years or more.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Native Am folks were the same people I saw there as a kid, only forty/fifty years older now. There are Native American drummers and protesters who have come to the exact same spot every single day since the 1960's, and the same goes for several other core issue groups.

If you're a kid from rural Kentucky, you're most likely unprepared for what you're going to encounter.
 
Anyway, what happened down there in DC was just one more "****-show" that happens every single day.


Next month it will be "Neo-Nazis" versus Antifa maybe, or "alt-Right versus AOC supporters", or NOI versus ADL.


Or Socialist Workers Party versus American Legion.


It's what they do down there.

Now that this entire thing has been demonstrated to be fake, the kid being doxed and had him and his family threated, an innocent kid being doxed and having him and his family threated, videos showing the Black Israelites being racist towards them and yelling other obscenities, ect….I'm await for your comments correcting the record, condemning the actions taken against the kids and the smear campaign, and an apology for piling in when you didn't know the truth.

Totally agree on the chaperones. They allowed the boys to remain in the area where they were being taunted and then apparently gave the boys permission to start responding rather than ignore and move elsewhere.

Fake? I have seen the extended video and read the accounts and my opinion has not changed.

The NA's approached the kids. Then after mingling a little the NA male approached the kid he did and got in his face. If anyone deserves the treatment you spoke about it is clearly him.
