Mother of veteran harrassing teen responds

They were chanting ‘build the Wall’ to a bunch of NA’s.
And? Why do you find that unacceptable, especially as he opposes the wall?

‘He’?

The indigenous people’s rally had nothing to do with the wall, nor did the anti—abortion rally.

These idiot teens haven’t the first clue what his position on the wall might have been- but they understand it enough to know it’s a racist taunt.

I see you didn't avail yourself of the information provided at the link in the OP. Figures
He is opposed to the wall. It may be why he engaged the Kids first.

What racist taunt?

Possibly the most idiotic take conceivable.

Says you, the one with an idiotic take.
The indigenous man clearly approaches the kid and gets in his face.

Mother of one of the boys who harassed the veteran:
In an email to this reporter, the mother of the student right up in Phillips’ face said the story was “fake news.” She claimed that Phillips, who she referred as a “this man,” in quotation marks, was drumming close to the teen’s face. But her biggest gripe, besides saying this reporter was promoting hate, was that she alleged the students were themselves harassed. By “black Muslims.”

“Shame on you! Were you there? Did you hear the names the people where calling these boys? It was shameful. Did you witness the black Muslims yelling profanities and video taping trying to get something to futher (sic) your narrative of hatred?? Did you know that this “man” came up to this one boy and drummed in his face? Shame on you. Only reporting what you want. More fake news.”

When this reporter thanked her for the correspondence and explained that it would be reported on as part of the story, she demanded the emails be deleted.

“Delete my email. I want nothing to do with helping perpetuating (sic) your hate. I do not want to be a part of your story. You are ruining a boys life for fake news. Hate spreads like wildfire. I pray for you.”

When asked about her son’s actions in the video, she did not respond.

Red:
That poltroon had all that lip in an email to the press, but when confronted she had nary a peep. She and her son need to take their sorry asses back to "daytime television land."

Her son's actions of being approached by the indigenous poltroon, where he attempted to intimidate her son?

I see an indigenous drummer at an indigenous march, and a group of punks who refused to give them the space to do their drumming. This was not a Catholic White Boy School march, it was an indigenous people's march.

My hope is that they bring back the draft so that these boys maybe wind up with a Native American drill instructor, who might just teach them a lesson in respect for their elders.

I see Conservative Treehouse is already talking about this, eh?

Really? Where are they talking about it?
I suggest you get your thinker checked out as you certainly are not thinking correctly.

Then you are not looking at all of the available videos.
Especially the one I provided as it clearly shows the indigenous man getting in the kids face.

In response to "Build that wall" during an indigenous people's march?
I'd be doing a lot more than getting in their faces.
If I were one of those indigenous people, and a bunch of little brats started chanting "Build that wall", I'd shove the drumstick down their throat.

Nice try with your cheap parlor trick of distorting the context. Those kids went to a right to life march, one utterly devoid of women, it would seem. They had no business leaving their march and interfering with another group, and then being upset that the other group got in their faces. The drummers did not walk over TO their right to life march.

We can Perry Mason this crap to death and it still boils down to a bunch of kids minding someone else's business.

I was taught to respect my elders. My mother would never tolerate this kind of behavior.

This is also the problem with our schools. Children don't respect their teachers or anyone in authority or older than them. Mothers like her are to blame.

Did you happen to see all the other videos showing that this kid did nothing wrong, and was in no way in the wrong as he has been portrayed as being? That it was the old guy who walked up to him, got into his face and wouldn't stop? That all this particular kid did was stand there and smile?

What can you say about a kid that just stood there and smiled? Did you see all the videos, specifically the one showing the old man walking up to the kid, causing the whole thing? The only 'actions' I see is him smiling.

What gives the old guy that right? What makes him any different than anyone else getting in someone's face?

He was in his space and they decided to leave theirs and go visit them. They did not attend the indigenous people's march, they were attending a right to life march, one which by the way appears to be utterly devoid of women.
And it wasn't an indigenous people's right to life march either, and the indigenous people were not protesting right to lifers either.

And by the way, chanting "Build that wall" in front of indigenous people? Nice touch. Stay classy.

What doesn't help their cause with many segments of the public is that so many were wearing MAGA gear. It's kind of a connection now between MAGA wearers and potential racism, like it or not. It's like a new symbol of white populism.

To be honest, I'm torn about this one. I usually don't get into race threads because I don't care for the subject most times. But I think these kids are getting way too much blowback. I think they were being douche bag teens more than anything. Get a bunch of douche bags together in a group and they all try to outperform each other.

Now this douche baggery could also be attached to racism, but I'm not ready to shout that out. I rarely ever am unless I can see overt racism.

I've seen videos of "both sides". The NA group did appear to approach the group of teens. However, we do not know the motivation. I would guess that they wanted to protest something the teens were chanting or yelling about.

But the chants and chopping motion by the teens were really not an acceptable reaction. The kid with the drum close to his face? I have no idea what to make of it. I think more than anything, he was trying to out-alpha his local pack-mates.

Perhaps these kids really are racists. Wearing MAGA gear in large quantities and being from KY...does not help the cause. But let's not try to ruin kids futures over douche baggery. Sometimes douche bags stop being douche bags.

There were several different groups there, if you saw all the videos. The kids were standing on the steps and the indigenous people walked over to them. The kids parted and let them through until the one kid held his ground.

That one kid, which is what this whole uproar is about, did nothing wrong. He stood there and smiled. The old guy was in the wrong getting right up into his face with that drum. If he had the right to stand there beating a drum right in the kids face, then the kid had the right to stand there and smile.

LOL, you forgot to mention that the native Americans weren't singing in English. They should go back to their country!

I am so done with this, have a great day Ms. Holbritter. :lamo

Where do you think “junior” got his views?

This behavior flows down, not up.....

What you are seeing is the behavior of kids who listen to their parents rant about liberal leftists. Like almost everything else we learn, it's taught, like hatred and prejudice is taught...and god, let's not leave that one out.

I’ve chaperoned lots of kids that age in DC. Kids, especially boys that age, will be absolute idiots which gets magnified in s group setting.

The real blame falls upon the chaperones and parents who were there. I can’t even imagine allowing something like that to go on if I was chaperoning there.

So disgusted by the responses in this thread and the general response of SJW. Make no mistake, if you commented about the boys and didn't watch more videos and see how these singers/drummers approached these kids and tried to put them on the defensive, you are the SJW I'm referring to.

People talking about raising their kids right and how this would never happen to their children. I'm sorry for those children.

My boys know respect and they know not to start a fight. They also know not to duck and cover because someone gets in their face. They know to not say a word, but not back down either. That's how an adult reacts when someone gets in your face. You don't have to pretend they are okay to behave in such a way, but you don't give them ammunition either. If they take it to the next level, then you can too. This stopped at the old man being rude and intrusive and the high school boy didn't make it worse. Kudos to him on controlling his temper while not acting like he had done something wrong.

This narrative is getting old. Time and again we see some video that tells 10% of the story and are told to think the white guys are racists and we should feel bad.

Gets hard to take real complaints seriously when we are inundated with this useless garbage.

Don't know what they were singing made any difference. But Phillip's comment about what happened was certainly funny.

Phillips recalled. “I started going that way, and that guy in the hat stood in my way and we were at an impasse. He just blocked my way and wouldn’t allow me to retreat.”

Retreat? LOL.

You have a great day too CS.
