As the multi-billionaire, international entrepreneur POTUS KNOWS, China needs OUR MARKETS, far more than we need theirs.

Pres.Trump, the FIRST POTUS to directly confront China's MANY ECOOMIMC OFFENSES against the US with ACTION, may well be on the verge of the MORE FAVORABLE TRADE AGREEMENT w/China he has been fighting for...and the MARKETS ARE RESPONDING TO IT.

.The President is on the verge of accomplishing what NO ONE BEFORE HIM COULD:

" For its part, China is willing to resolve its trade disputes with the U.S. on an equal footing, according to Lu Kang, spokesman at the Chinese foreign ministry."

Asia markets jump amid US-China trade talks

•Stocks in Asia were higher on Monday as investor sentiment picked up slightly amid a new round of talks between Beijing and Washington.
•Reports said a working team led by Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish will meet Chinese officials to have "positive and constructive discussions."

For its part, China is willing to resolve its trade disputes with the U.S. on an equal footing, according to Lu Kang, spokesman at the Chinese foreign ministry, Reuters reported Monday.

Stocks in Asia gained on Monday as investor sentiment picked up slightly amid a new round of trade negotiations between the United States and China in Beijing.

The U.S. and China are holding vice ministerial level trade talks in Beijing on Jan 7-8, according to the Chinese commerce ministry. Reports said a working team led by Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish will meet Chinese officials to have "positive and constructive discussions."

For its part, China is willing to resolve its trade disputes with the U.S. on an equal footing, according to Lu Kang, spokesman at the Chinese foreign ministry.

Lost the English dictionary to another keyboard operator I see. Read your own text.

For its part, China is willing to resolve its trade disputes with the U.S. on an equal footing, according to Lu Kang, spokesman at the Chinese foreign ministry.

Resolving trade disputes on an equal footing is not trading on an equal footing. But, no big deal. Its not like a expect better from somebody for whom English is not their first language.

Geez is your desperation ever showing today. You are double posting your nonsense all over the place. Got a wedgie in those white, blue, red horizontal bar undies of yours?

I like this part and how Grok seems ecstatic: "For its part, China is willing to resolve its trade disputes with the U.S. on an equal footing". :2razz:

Ignorant of the trade inequities prior to now?

EQAUL TRADE is all we are seeking.

I don't understand what the headline is here? China is saying they want to resolve the trade dispute on equal footing? Doesn't everyone who enters a negotiation say they want an equitable resolution? You know China's idea of equal footing is very different from the US's idea of equal footing. You know they thought we were on equal footing before the trade dispute.

So this really means nothing more than China wants to end the trade dispute. Which we already know. So do we.

Yeah...that means EQUAL TRADEm as apposed to the FAVORABLE TO CHINA situation we have been stuck with.

Reading comp troubles?

What were the trade inequities? That they had higher tariffs? Sure, but they have higher tariffs on all products they import, not just those from the USA.

"EQUAL FOOTING " on trade is what we have never had with them.

How do you not know that?

Reading comp troubles?

No it doesn't. It means they are willing to talk on an equal footing which is not the same thing as trading on an equal footing.

That's because China has alot of cheap **** goods and we have nothing produced cheaply. Americans like cheap stuff. Most Chinese people cannot afford overpriced American goods. So all that is left is crop goods, and some minerals. This trade war has done a number on crop exports to China, and they have found alternatives.

Not even a nice try : Stocks end higher after report says U.S. considering easing China tariffs.

You forgot to mention a key part of your article...
However, the plan faces resistance from U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer who doesn't want the U.S. to come across as weak, the report said. A Treasury spokesman said that neither Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin nor Lighthizer “have made any recommendations to anyone with respect to tariffs or other parts of the negotiation with China.”

Happy to help!

Follow the dots? You think its the Jews?

Great NON-RESPONSE.

The LOW INFORMATION DP Left seems to think that "EQUAL FOOTING" in US/Chinese trade practices IS NOT A MAJOR WIN for US....obviously IGNORANT of the greatly disparate tariffs, etal. waged against US Commerce to this point , by China, UNCHALLENGED...UNTIL TRUMP that is.

"EQUAL FOOTING " on trade is what we have never had with them.

You and I agree with that statement. China disagrees. They feel we were on equal footing before, and would like to get back to that. So when China says they want to be on equal footing with the U.S., I don't automatically assume they're referring to what you and I think equal trade would be. Do you trust them when they say that?

OMG how did that happen, a disagreement within the exec. branch ?

This news sure seemed to help the speculators who sent the market up based on it.

It is the capitalist who owns congress, [that] will tell congress what to do as usual.

Oh please what kind of 'low info' is part of the obvious. Lower tariffs on American products fall mostly on US corp...

make there ship back and back into China. Tariffs do not effect US employment, only profits.

What was unchallenged was the capitalist willingness even eagerness to enjoy cheap Chinese labor and move

9 million jobs in 25 years since permanent MFN status which was also eagerly sought and bought.

Now why would anyone think the Chinese would not take a huge piece-of-the-action ?

Was China supposed to just lay down and submit to the west like the British expected of many for more than a century ?
