I specifically said Congress let Obama build over 100 miles of wall while Democrats refuse to give Trump even one inch of wall. Do you deny that? Or are you just trying to creatively change the subject?
 
I wish giving the SOTU from the Oval Office was the norm. There is no rational sense for all the pomp and circumstance and applause theater that is involved when giving it before a joint session of Congress. Even when we aren’t in a government shutdown it is a waste of money and manpower.

Trump is several orders of magnitude more dishonest than the norm. If you can't see that, it's because you won't see it. Either way, I can't help you. Also, I don't do alternate reality.

I particularly enjoyed using a quote from a Republican to do it. No doubt you praised that Republican's tantrum when it happened.

The bill already passed in the House to reopen the Govt. gives Trump every penny he asked for border security in his 2018 budget. It was not until after he lost the House that he decided he needed more..much more and expected the Democrats to give it to him or else he would shut down the govt. "for a long time". This is not how a President asks for money for a pet project or anything for that matter. He knows that much I'm sure and knows the Dems will never bend to this extortion and corruption of the regular order of our Govt.

SOTU has always been a worthless partisan endeavor. Forgive me though, I didn't realize that there have been other presidents who have not been invited to give the speech anyway. Could you please list the others? Or, do you have to tuck your tail between your legs and admit that it is only Democrats who have done this?

Read my link. It was the full 1.6 Billion that Trump requested in his budget. That's because the Dems are passing the GOP budget bills, the ones the Senate passed in Dec. and now will not even vote on.

That is absolutely correct and much missed in many of the Wall funding discussions. The $1.6B was EXACTLY what Trump asked for. The guy just cannot say Yes unless Coulter and Limbaugh tell him he can. He is a coward. C...O...W...A...R...D!

Yes, he should deliver it from the Oval Office. But that will hurt him. He loves pomp and circumstance, and he won't get that.

Pelosi exercised her right to not invite him to Congress if she chooses, and he should exercise his right to deliver an address to the nation anyway if he chooses.

Let me know what he offered the Democrats in exchange for his wall. I still can't get the answer to that.

Somehow they think that allowing the Govt. to function is a perk for Dems when that is Trump's #1 job as President. How can you negotiate with someone who cannot even do that most basic function?
