Should the Streamers permit offensive movies to be seen on their platforms?

Being from a different generation didn't save Baby Its Cold Outside or Kiss the Girl from critasism.

Criticism is not banning. Anyone can pick anything to criticize and boycott it with people of like minds that's the great thing about the USofA. It's when its banned by the government and becomes illegal that it's a problem.

The other day I watched Holiday Inn on either Netfix or Amazon I can't remember and I started to wonder for how long this kind of stuff will be allowed....this essentially promotion of what is considered sin today.

I mean the whole thing is about Up With America and two guys fighting for the love of one woman...trying to get her to fall in love with them....which is of course straight up abuse of women by Toxic Masculinity now.

****, this thing even has blackface!

As a FreeMan I of course say yes.

What Say U?

?
You can buy your ****ty movie on Amazon for nine bucks. You can also buy a pacifier for three bucks that way you can stop crying.

As an essentially new member, I have my thoughts concentrated on the rules before I write.
You’re either being ridiculously sensitive or intentionally disingenuous. Normal posters have absolutely no reason to “concentrate on the rules” before posting.

With that in mind, I prefer not to mention the name of that super controversial silent film. I can tell you that if any theater tried to exhibit it, there would be demonstrations (or worse).
”Birth of a Nation” I’m guessing, and there is absolutely nothing stopping us having an intelligent discussion about that film. As I suspected, there is nothing actually preventing anyone from showing it (and it appears to be available online). There may well be protests if there was a public showing (though that would depend very much on the wider context) but that isn’t preventing anyone from choosing to show it, indeed, the protests would also be part of the free speech you’re promoting.

You do seem to engage in a lot of rhetoric and exaggeration which I’d respectfully suggest you try to resist if you want to engage in rational discussion and debate in the future.

Thank you, Honest Joe, for your opinion.

I have learned one lesson during the time that I have posted on a few discussion forums: I never, ever try to change another person's mind, for it is not going to happen.

Have a nice weekend.
