The short film is comprised of testimonials from black Americans who left the Democrats.

The campaign plans to host a live, worldwide YouTube watch party upon the film’s release.

“This short film has devastating potential for the Democratic Party, as it is sure to rouse awareness and trigger an avalanche of curiosity, disrupting the current and long-accepted narratives as they pertain to race and the two American political parties. Hence, the name of our film, ‘The Great Awakening: Breaking the Chains of the Democratic Party,'”...

Wait, people still believe the walk away bull**** after all this time?

Re: #WalkAway Campaign Releasing Short Film About Black Americans Leaving Democratic Party

Ha ha. Do people really think walk away is a thing? Like for real?

Internet people believe it. It's one of those things that is equal parts sad and stupid.

Trump can’t manage topping 10% approval rating among blacks and you think Pelosi and her gang have something to worry about now?! Bwahahahaha!

Black people are not going to vote with people like Steve King an admitted White supremacist in your party. Or what about racist former Republican Governor of Main Paul LePage.

Most...not all...most Black people see the Republican party harbors racists and want nothing to do with the party.

He's one of 2 rabid trumpettes on DP that pushes this walkaway nonsense. Probably nets them 30 cents a thread.

The Republican Party is the only party with a perfect legistlative record supporting blacks.

What have Democrats done during the past 50-years? Ghettos’, broken families... doesn’t seem to be such a productive platform.

Trump has done far more for all minorities than Obama.

He won’t be shy advertising that fact in 2020.

When just 5% is peeled off, that represents a serious problem for the Left.

“Far more for all minorities” you say? I guess it depends on what you mean by that.

Under Trump’s administration minorities have experienced a surge in hate crimes -
FBI: reported hate crimes increased by 17 percent in 2017
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vo...tics/2018/11/13/18091646/fbi-hate-crimes-2017

Homelessness has increased for minorities (and most other groups too) -
https://www.hudexchange.info/resources/documents/2017-AHAR-Part-1.pdf

Wages are stagnant at for some, and declining for more -
https://www.epi.org/blog/black-work...sing-earnings-gaps-with-white-men-since-2000/

It hasn’t been all bad though, Trump did reduce unemployment through various legislative acts (long term results TBD), and he signed a very long overdue prison reform law, but don’t kid yourself that he’s got a lot to brag about in improving the lives of minorities, because he doesn’t. I’ve just pointed out a few of his obvious failures that will be used against him in 2020.

lol, I'm sure that's why White Supremacist Steve King is a Republican.

And remind me, who was the Republican nominee in 1964?

Goldwater was a vocal opponent of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as he believed it to be an overreach by the federal government.

Hmm...hard to imagine why Blacks would not vote for a party that nominated a man who was against their Civil Rights.

Re: #WalkAway Campaign Releasing Short Film About Black Americans Leaving Democratic Party

I think that there is a good reason it is a “short” film.

Flush twice, it's a long long way to the water treatment plant...

I believe you should verse yourself as to why Goldwater took such a stand. It was not about keeping blacks down. We see a version of it in the cake brouhaha Leftists have created in an effort to make people do things against their, in this instance, religious beliefs.

For the record, Democrats, in the majority, relied heavily on Republicans to get the bill passed.

It was Democrats throughout history that tried to deny the Black man his Liberty... The Republican Party has a perfect record of supporting the Black man.

Re: #WalkAway Campaign Releasing Short Film About Black Americans Leaving Democratic Party

NO, there will be no widespread leaving the Democratic Party by African Americans.

At least not in the foreseeable future.

In 100 years' time, however, when the population profile of the United States is completely different, one can expect many developments, including the possibility that the aforementioned ethnicity may no longer support the Democratic Party for certain reasons.

Re: #WalkAway Campaign Releasing Short Film About Black Americans Leaving Democratic Party

It'll be a bad day for the Democrats when black folks wash their hands of the party.

Here is a decent, short piece on Goldwater. The man was anything but racist. So sad Leftists are ignorant about their history... but it’s one reason why you’re still Leftists.

[h=1]Goldwater’s vote against Civil Rights Act of 1964 unfairly branded him a racist[/h]Senator believed parts were unconstitutional, would lead to preferential treatment
https://www.centralmaine.com/2014/0...ts-act-of-1964-unfairly-branded-him-a-racist/

He was right about “preferential treatment”. Government dictating who should be hired.

Re: #WalkAway Campaign Releasing Short Film About Black Americans Leaving Democratic Party

It'll be a bad day for the Democrats when black folks wash their hands of the party.

It won’t take much, 5%, and their electoral chances will be adversely affected in a serious way.

That scares the **** out of them.

There doesn’t need to be a widespread abandonment. 5 to 10% will cause real mayhem for Democrats.

Trump is the brain opener for that to happen. Lucky for him, Obama was #44... and he can point to Obama’s majestic failures, and the Democrats decades of failures, juxtapose his successes, and once again ask... what do you have to lose?

Now... they have much to lose.

Democrats may feign laughter at the thought, but deep down they have very serious concerns... because only 5 out of 100 need change their mind for havoc to be unleashed on Democrats...

5... per... 100... and the Democrats are in heap... big... trouble.

As for the video... it seems it will explain why people walk away... what will the Democrats counter with? Decades of failure? Misery. Decay?... Obama’s failure?

You see the Leftists here... incapable of explaining the great advantages the Left has brought Black Americans. For they haven’t brought anything of the sort. But Trump... he has achieved what nobody else has... setting records for minority employment across the board.

That is powerful.

Since latinos are the victim class of choice now, it's realistic that more black folks will leave the Democrat party.

Gotta ask...you planning to spend those rubles all in one place, or spread it around a bit?

Thanks for your considered opinion.

I respectfully disagree.

The Democrats have the African American vote all tied up for at least another 50 years or so.

The Democrats are great at propaganda. Give the Devil His/Her due.

Besides, the Dems have the media on their side.

The Dems will really turn out the African American vote in 2020. Unlike 2016, African Americans will vote in massive numbers this time.

Are you posting in the right thread? It doesn’t seem so. I’ve done this sort of thing before... easy to do with multiple windows open.

I ask, because your reply has zero to do with #walkaway... unless there is some new, equally retarded Leftist conspiracy that #walkaway is now a Russian misinformation operation.

But I’ll play along, and then provide you with information you seem to be sorely denied.

You mean the Rubles Christopher Steele spent for the Clinton/Russia Dossier?

This Russia Dossier is blowing up pretty large in the faces of the Left... as it should.

FISA shocker: DOJ official warned Steele dossier was connected to Clinton, might be biased
https://thehill.com/opinion/white-h...d-steele-dossier-was-connected-to-clinton?amp

In short, the FBI and DoJ were mightily corrupt. But we knew that, as Lynch, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, and Page have so clearly illustrated.
