Trump's reign over the news cycle fading fast

They'll just make one up.

Who is “they” you’re referring to? People with the authority to pursue impeachment? Mueller and the SCO?

Trump is the President. It would be worrying if the news didn't follow him. The problem isn't the President having the capability to control the news cycle by doing something stupid or dangerous or petty or whatever.....

...the problem is that this president usually does things that fit each description simultaneously.

I'm just reading the tea leaves. Suggest y'all do the same.

Well there's you're problem, then. You're not supposed to try to decode the secret instructions on them.

You're supposed to put them in a mesh thingy, put that in a mug, and then pour boiling water over it. Steep for about 4-5 minutes and remove.

Try darjeeling mixed with a pinch of jasmine.

It looks like the "Wall" deflection is over and without Trump's control the cycle influence. The media and public has grown weary of the whole wall thing. Without deflecting optics and effectiveness, federal workers will soon be saved. The shift is now beginning to focus on another, what is going on issue related to Trump. Whether it is a good idea to have "great relations" with Russia's Putin is up for debate. The problem is the man that was very critical of past administrations lack of transparency is being nontransparent on steroids. Why hide premise of Putin meetings? leaks? The leak argument is a joke, the President works for the American people and something like conversations with a former KGB agent must be shared with the public, at least the premise of talks. Not just, it was great, it was great conversation. Do we really want a King that believes we are his subjects and we are not entitled to be informed? What it really looks like is a man that is covering up his dealings with the KGB. And knowing the true content the American citizens would once and for all turn on him. Hide taxes, Hide meeting dialogue, Trump lying, Trump associates lying. But I will wait for DOJ evidence, although a Last ditch effort for cover-up, appoint Barr who has written opinions that support having a King of America, allowing the President to have all power over the this countries legal checks and balance.

Copy & Paste?

Just one huge and hard to read paragraph?

Not to worry. As soon as Trump sees you talking about, looking at, or focusing on something he doesn't want you to, he will say or tweet something totally unrelated and completely outrageous. He has done this from the moment he declared his candidacy. That's why you can barely name any other GOP candidate or articulate their position on any issue.

Trump controls the narrative and he always will.

I like your style!
Several people have pointed to this very fact for a long time now, yet they still dance to the tune Trump whistles.
They don't even see the control he has over them with his tweets.

As you said, all he has to do is tweet something the least bit off-sides and they are all over it.
They are so obsessed with trump, they hang on his every tweet.

ie...Trump wiped a booger under the seat of a rented limousine. In-depth report at 11.

I have heard it described as " chasing after shiny objects ".

Actually, I think you may have misunderstood.

Trump deliberately says OUTRAGEOUS things (not "the least bit off-sides"), specifically to get your focus off whatever it is on.

For example, if you are considering the candidacy of Lindsey Graham, because you heard him say something that sounded presidential or possibly statesmanlike, Trump would immediately respond with "Lyin' Ted Cruz's father was involved in the JFK assassination!"

The mic stuck in Graham's face will be to ask "What do you think of what Trump said about ...?"

There are still dumbass rubes who believe Clinton was involved in a pedophile ring run out of the basement of a pizza joint. The most sincere Trump supporters still believe Obama was not eligible to be president under the Constitution because he was not born in the U.S.

You can actually measure how desperate Trump is to get you off a particular story by the increasing frequency and irrationality (and some say the misspellings) of his tweets. When multiple non sequitur tweets are sent within minutes, you know Trump is sweating bullets.

You can bet Trump is going to be tweeting non-stop when congressional hearings begin, particularly if they are televised live.

I am beginning to believe that the biggest fly in Lame Duck Don's monumental pile of flaws when considering his legal issues is one we have pointed to many times in these pages without really rating it very highly.

Virtually all of Donald's long history of legal problems is covered under Tort Law, not Criminal Law. Tort results that go against you generally involve giving back money. Sometimes there are monetary penalties and fees and occasionally restrictions added to go along with giving back the money. But that is generally it unless you perjure yourself on the stand. In that case, prepare to go back to court, this time in a criminal venue.

So Trump has been able to use his loud mouth, trial by blather technique without much risk to him. You can lie like a rug in the media as a private citizen. You certainly are not going to pay for it in a civil trial environment. You just can't lie on the stand.

In this venue, Trump has just buried his attorney's under an avalanche of obfuscation and outright lies as the Chief Executive of the United States. Couple that with what appears to be complete disrespect and distain for the Law and Donald's utter lack of understanding for his position responsibilities as Chief Executive and none of his problems should be a surprise.

It should be crystal clear by now why Trump's legal team would not let Donald get anywhere near an actual interview with Mueller and won't even let Donald submit answers to questions around the issue of Obstruction. The Mueller team likely knows every time Donald has contradicted himself in formal statements as the Chief Executive vs what Mueller has in documents and testimony from witnesses that have appeared before him under oath.

I very much suspect that Trump did in fact suborn perjury with Cohen with regard to Trump Tower Moscow and has very likely done it with others. However I also very much suspect that his suborning of perjury while clearly impeachable is STILL just the tip of the iceberg of Trump criminality and corrupt behavior during the campaign and during his term of office.

In truth, the oft mentioned comment that Donald just can't help himself is true indeed. Nothing in Donald's long history of legal struggles has prepared him in the least for how quickly and how easily he would run afoul of criminal law seeking public office and in public office.

Seems to me the media is simply preparing you Trump haters for a big letdown. Mueller has squat.

He has suborning perjury. That's much more than squat :lamo

President Donald Trump personally directed his longtime former attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about the Moscow Trump Tower project, two federal law enforcement officials involved in an investigation of the matter told BuzzFeed.

Half the country is dying from smoke inhalation and you're claiming there's no fire anywhere.

Cause it might trigger too many snowflakes.

That question you would have to ask mr. barr if he is appointed attorney general. He seems to indicate if trump is not guilty, we'll all see the report. On the other hand, maybe we won't see the report because of 'national security.' Personally I feel most americans want to see the report either way. We need to know whether our president is a crook or not? Hmm, seem to recall someone else who was guilty of being a crook saying exactly that.

Anyone that has paid even an iota of attention over the last 50 years knows that Donald Trump lies, cheats and steals. He's just like his dad. Just not as smart.

1st generation makes it
2nd generation lives off of it
3rd generation blows it

Lame Duck Donald is lucky that for the most part the people he has lied and cheated and stolen from through his business history have just wanted their money back plus damages. That lead them to seek restitution through Tort Law. If Donald had been confronted more often in the Criminal arena, the "Trump Train" would have been derailed before it ever left the station.

//// Mueller has squat /////....How do you know this, or is it more accurate to say you know squat about what Mueller has ?

Seems to me he was idolized and admired before he decided to get into politics. Step on a few feet and things change quickly.

That's just the way I see it. It's called an opinion.

Feel free to express yours.

a few feet? the dude has been cheating people out of money his whole life. been sued his whole life. he's tried to get two governments to take people's homes and farms and sell them to him via eminent domain.

man, where have all the law and order conservatives gone? heck, i'd settle for some Christians standing up to his madness at this point.

Generally when members are posting opinions, they state as such, and don't present them them as statement of facts as you did....just sayin'

He was usually in the press for all the wrong reasons (divorces, bankruptcy, insulting people). It was during The Apprentice that he was able to sell his image successfully, despite him being anything but what he pitched himself as in the show. Prior to that he was in a financial mess.

Had you worried, did it?

Tells me some are too sure of their "facts".

Pretty sure he wasn't idolized by the workers and banks he stiffed.
