No, she does not. She is a freshman representative, with limited power and no really powerful committee assignments whose own party is not really pleased with her. She cannot do anything. No one is afraid of her. What she is is an easy target, with republicans and people on the right trying to represent her as being representative of democrats. It is nothing different than those who use Steve King to represent republicans. It is political debate for those without the ability to really debate politics.

I agree she's an easy target. That's why the lamebrains at Fox have targeted her. But there's no comparison with Steve King, who is very much representative of what the GOP believes. There are many Republicans watching the Steve King episode who are wishing they were him because they believe as he does.
