Taking Trump literally is where so many go wrong, he clearly does not want you to take him literally, he is literally ****ing with you trying to wake you up.
Instead of abandoning their beliefs when the [predicted event] failed to materialise, most cult members actually consolidated their beliefs and increased their attachment to the group.
....
In the wake of a failed prophecy, a leader can always deny that he ever made that prediction or insist that he said something else. In some instances these denials may be premeditated, while in others they may arise from genuine distortions of memory – including what psychologists call "hindsight bias". Believers may even insist that the prophecy has happened, not in our world, but in some spiritual sphere.
Yes, if there is one quality I want in my President it is for me to not take him literally whenever he speaks.
Trump was never that guy, he is better understood as a performance artist...a very very good one.
Here we have "MomentOfZen" going up against "Hawkeye10" who has assured us that he is also "zen" and believes DJT follows "eastern ways".
One of whom thinks lying is bad and one that thinks lying is performance art.
Who is more credible?
Who is more "zen"?
I'm going with the guy who thinks lying is bad.
Listen or dont listen as you will, I will continue to know what I know.
I think you know what Fox News and Limbaugh tell you and much of that is as big a lie as what Trump has told you.
Do you see here how you focus on who is speaking over what is being said?
That is a bad idea.

That is actually true in a way. Trump never said that Mexico would pay for the wall via check, but he did say over and over and over and over again that Mexico would pay for the wall. OF course he is know trying to say he never really said any such thing. I know many of his defenders are saying that Trump saying Mexico would pay for the wall was just political speech, but how do they get around the fact that he is now trying to say he never said Mexico would pay for the wall at all?
The president should be more than a ****ing clown.
He is not saying that Mexico would not pay for the wall at all... jeez, the level of lies coming out about all this is simply pathetic.

After much meditation, my mind has transcended into serene awareness---Samadhi.
At this level of awareness, I am capable of discerning truth from bull****.
Said it a lot in front of large groups of uneducated morons,, they all cheered...It's all on video...Keep denying tough...Fun to see you squirm
He is not saying that Mexico would not pay for the wall at all... jeez, the level of lies coming out about all this is simply pathetic.
No video and no quotes... the tactics of the feeble... Any lies that you care to back up with evidence?
How about a memo from Trump?

It's always impossible to tell when you're trolling or not, because that's what you like to do some times, but my goodness, if so it's a weak effort. Trump put it in writing....

So, no, he's not saying it now, but he did say it! And he repeated it many times! Put it in writing exactly how he'd do it! And now he denies saying what you can read right up there at the link ^^^^ "From: Donald J. Trump"

And people blindley listened to Jim Jones, drank the coolade and the rest is historyTrump talked to me many many times, and I always felt like I understood him and I never had the idea that mexico was ever going to send a check or anything remotely like a check so I dont feel like he lied to me.
This is where I stand, if it is a different place from where you stand then you need to figure out how to deal with this reality.
Work it out.
Listen or dont listen as you will, I will continue to know what I know.
I believe that it was spiked Kool-Aid that they drank, and yes Jim Jones was a very interesting fella. And people blindley listened to Jim Jones, drank the coolade and the rest is history
Stay in your lane. One cannot reason a man out of something he didn’t reason himself into.
Obviously I was unaware before now of what is apparently a single message sent to WP personnel....if that turns up in evidence then we would need to decide if he lied or not......I heard him talk about this many many times and I never understood him as saying that Mexico would be expected to send money for a "one time payment for the wall". ....I am certain that he never lied to me.
