Explain why it won't work?
Wheels don't work because they are ancient. Same thing with walls and roofs.
Explain why it won't work?
The obsession with building a wall is because it is supposedly the best way to stop the “invasion” going on at the border.
That is the term repeated over and over again: “invasion”
1. And...there is no emergency.
2. So, there are criminals in every group. Pointing out that there are criminals in a group of people is not an argument for anything. You might as well say we should act because they have arms and legs. You're pointing out something common to all groups of humans and using it as a justification to act against them. That's irrational.
3. So, why don't we just keep doing what we've been doing given that it's working? Where is the emergency?
So then we don't need any further gun control laws?1. Violent crime is at historic lows
Bull**** - they've all commited a crime just getting here. And if they're working that's another one. That study has been shot down more times than Snoopy.SonofD= 2. Illegal immigrants commit fewer violent crimes than natural citizens [URL="https://www.businessinsider.com/undocumented-aliens-violent-crime-murder-statistics-data-2018-8" said:What statistics actually show about crime and immigration[/URL]
Uh, no. Arrests for illegal crossing are down - we have no idea how many got in without being caught.SonofD said:

It's simple. The best way to control people is to give them an enemy to hate. Allow them to pour that anger and frustration upon a common enemy.
In 1963, Rod Sterling wrote an excellent episode of the Twilight Zone about a young political activist who learned to use hate to motivate and control people from a shadowy figure.
Where will he go next? The answer is Washington D.C. in 2016.
Rod Sterling's monologue at the end of the episode is really worth hearing. The monologue and its transcript are below?
Does anyone deny that Trump is just giving the masses an enemy to hate to fulfill his own ambition?
What libertarian immigration idea do I disagree with? No, but immigration policy is a big one.
What libertarian immigration policy do I disagree with?So what other Libertarian policies do you disagree with?
With 22 million to 30 million illegals here already, how is it not an invasion?
Wheels don't work because they are ancient. Same thing with walls and roofs.
Sounds reasonable to me. Why give him what he wants if it's a stupid monument to his stupid campaign?

What libertarian immigration policy do I disagree with?
What a stupid false equivalence.
Whalebone bras and horse and buggy wagons still work, but they are vastly ineffective in the real world of 2019.
What a total empty-headed post.Meh, Trump's wall is all about Trump not wanting to lose on his top campaign slogan. No need to put any more effort into figuring this out.
Explain why it won't work?
Because humans are intelligent. They can get around physical barriers. What would deter you more, a house with a wall or a house with a security system? Would you put a wall that can't be scaled around your home? A 100 ft concrete barrier with barbed wire or would you just get a security system? It's just common sense.
What a total empty-headed post.
Ironic you'd spew anger and hate attacking "rubes" for not agreeing with your open border baloney.Yup, because anger and hate work for the rubes. They have been living on a diet of talk radio hate for years, they won't listen to actual logic and reason, they need fear and hate and, by all means, make it real simplistic so that they can numbly nod their heads and say "hell yeah!".
His target demographic is really ignorant angry idiots....and those are not in short supply.
Where did you come up with that wildly inflated number?
People who enter a space that is not theirs without permission are by definition Invaders.
So then we don't need any further gun control laws?
Crime Remains at Historic Lows in America

Evidence that a wall impedes illegal entry? Seriously? You're joking right?Do you have any evidence it will do this to the tune of justifying spending $5b? Because every day people are going over and under the existing walls. What's so special about this new wall?
Yes.Seriously?
Correction, I'm not a left libertarian, but that's indicated in my lean. You're not a Libertarian. But it's you're right to pretend you are.
What?(Hint: try googling this)
Those are the new "official numbers" updated from the 12 million number that has been used for the last 20 years. Ann Coulter was the first to spot this and report on it, thank god that we know now.
Yes.

What?
It takes a lot of time and effort to build a tunnel It would be detected long before it becomes useful.yes as of yet there has been no scientific proof that a person can pass through wall without doing anything to it.
It will be in the way of people who don't procure passage through such tunnels. Right now there is nothing. Something is decidedly more than nothing.
And the kind of walls used to stop “invasions” function as military fortifications.
Hadrians wall is a perfect example. In order to protect their holdings in Britain, the Roman Empire built a intricate series of stone fortifications along the border seperating Roman Britain from Scotland, which was home to the Pictic tribes who posed an actual threat to Roman Britain. Hadrian’s Wall was not simply a physical barrier, it served as the base for the Roman garrison in charge of defending the wall from pictic incursion.
Any wall that requires a garrison in order to function is military in function. The u.s Mexico border is not a warzone, and it does not need military fortifications.
