Trump the Peacenik

So why in the name of God would Trump think that Syria/Russia/Turkey will solve our ISIS issue for us?

Lets look at the history of this ISIS piece to the Syrian mess:
- If Syria cared about its borders it would have attacked ISIS with vigor when they first crossed and coalesced and would have driven them back into the waiting arms of the US coalition and Iraq. Assad cares so little about his borders that he actually allowed ISIS to take, occupy and hold territory within those borders. Assad is a criminal, the current leader of a criminal family masquerading as the head of a sovereign state that at this point is not really a sovereign state. Assad does not care about policing nor even maintaining his borders. That is the primary reason we just ignored his borders in pursuit of ISIS ultimately teaming up with the Kurds to fight ISIS and attrit them.
- ISIS is a useful tool for both Assad and Russia. They are not going to eliminate ISIS anymore than Putin cared about those 300 Russian mercenaries that hurled themselves headlong into US forces in true Banzai style. Useful tools all.
- So Syria and Russia are not going to get it done. They might.... MIGHT put on a little show for us but I doubt it.
- Turkey only cares to cross the Syrian border and annihilate the Kurds. That is all they care to do and what do we think Syria and Russia will make the price of admission to do that? They will demand that while Turkey will be allowed to annihilate the very force fighting ISIS, they will NOT be allowed to then go on and attrit what is left of ISIS. Not going to happen.

So either Trump is so stupid and gullible and uneducated to geopolitical realities that he actually buys this nonsensical fairytale of Syria/Russia/Turkey taking care of ISIS or this is yet another example of Trump's unscrupulousness rising to the top.

Lindsey Graham this morning contends that "He thinks Trump will sit down with his Generals and change his mind" on the Syrian withdrawal.

Really Lindsey. So you think that having walked as far out on this plank as Trump has walked, he is now going to turn around and saw off the plank.

Lindsey must adhere to the belief that there is an endless, virtually bottomless pit of resolve for Trumpian nonsense from both a domestic and an international, geopolitical audience. We already see signs of the world moving on without Trump. Soon enough the country will simply move on without Trump.

Trump apparently has that saw out and has started to cut into that plank he has walked out on. Now he says he is slowly bringing the troops out of Syria. What does that mean Donald...one at a time...two at a time? Is this like the concrete wall...correction fence....correction artistic slats, correction beaded curtain at the border.

Like I have said before, the world is already turning a blind eye to Donald. They don't have a choice. This on again off again nonsense is not going to go over well domestically either and may just backfire on him. Can't be all over the map on everything and Donald is all over the map on EVERYTHING. Donald is already circling the drain.

Bush, Sr., invaded defenseless little Panama.
Bush, Jr., invaded Iraq (with disastrous results).
Obama overthrew that guy in Libya (with disastrous results).

You need a better description than "disastrous results" because Bush's blunder into Iraq was a catastrophe of biblical proportions and President Obama's policy in Libya was quite successful. forget for a second that Iraq cost a trillion dollars, thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives while Libya cost a billion dollars, no American lives and probably saved Libyan lives and focus on this. Every person that continues to die in Iraq and now Syria is a direct result of Bush lying us into Iraq. What happens in Libya is 100% on Libya. that's the difference between helping an organized and well funded rebellion overthrow a dictator and Bush lying us into Iraq.
