Orrin's hypocrisy

You'd have to ask Hatch. there are plenty of people on this board who say Obama or Clinton or Chuck Schumer are "very good men" and while I think they are not-I only speak for myself

you all seem to think that your perspective should rule how Hatch thinks. I suspect Hatch knows far far more about Trump than any of us so perhaps his opinion has merit-above what a bunch of left-wingers on a message board think

That was quite the non-answer.

Trump is patently not a very good man.

Some acknowledge he is not a good man but say that he can still be a good president.

But if you're going to dance around and pretend that you think he might be a good man, then all that is left is to wonder why you don't feel like you can be honest tonight. Because I know you know better.

Goodnight.

where do you get off telling me that you are right about someone whom you don't know, whom you have never interacted with and is supported by millions of Americans?

the best you can do is say "IN MY OPINION-TRump is not a good man"

stop pretending you speak for everyone and anyone who finds your claims unsupported or dubious is wrong.

You being a progressive-suggests to me that anyone who doesn't buy into your political agenda would be deemed "not a good person" to you

Well that is b.s.

For example, my husband is a good person, even though he voted for Trump.

Some people are obviously not very good people. Trump is one of those. You know it. The fact that you jump to such an extreme conclusion about me at the end of your post shows that you are indeed committed to being ridiculous tonight on behalf of Hatch and Trump.

So have fun with that.

your opinion-period. You are being ridiculous in assuming everyone thinks your definition of a good man should matter. There are lots of stories about Trump helping people out that the left wing pile or echo chamber refuses to acknowledge. I am sure those people would call Trump a "good man"

as I said, I don't care. I don't know him-I've never talked to him. I note that the left feels a far greater need to justify their politics by demonizing those who don't share their politics. I think it comes from two things mainly

the left is far more dependent on government to achieve their goals.
the left wants to run the lives of everyone-they have to pretend they know what is better for others than those people themselves. Most of us on the right-especially those who aren't religious zealots-Don't feel a need to tell others what to do.

Oh gosh, that's cute.

The left has more need to demonize people?

Trump built his political career on calling Obama a Kenyan who wasn't the legitimate president.

You're a hoot.

I guess I'm going to have to unsubscribe from this thread so I don't succumb again to your delightfully absurd posts. What a card.

The evidence is that he's a hate-filled, duplicitous social conservative, steeped in hypocrisy who takes delight in pissing on the rule of law and constitution.

Excellent insight that is.The world is slipping thru their fingers and they want blood.

right back at you-your argument is the classic "My poop don't stink" nonsense

John Dingell recently was quoted as wanting to do away with the Electoral college-don't recall liberals talking about how long that guy was in office-or how long Byrd was. Sounds like partisan hackery to me

He said he'd like to get rid of the Senate, as well, and gave very rational, lucid reasons for doing so. There was nothing partisan about it.

Hatch called Trump "a very good man".

That sums up Hatch's abandonment of reality/principles/however you want to call it.

The rest is details.

Or it sums up your abandonment of reality...I guess it depends on perspective.

he was a populist and of course figured anything that helps the labor-left is good. You do know he was the guy who started the term "Jackbooted Thugs" when referring to the ATF? He was one of the most pro gun rights democrats in recent history

Sorry folks but the senate is here to stay and so is the Electoral college

exactly-its common among the Trump hate echo chamber. that group has now far surpassed the silly birthers in terms of hysterically hyperbolic hatred of the sitting president they despise

he was a populist and of course figured anything that helps the labor-left is good.

Which is irrelevant to the fact that he made a very good case for getting rid of it.

No, I believe that was Wayne LaPierre in 1995.
Sorry folks but the senate is here to stay and so is the Electoral college

It would take a LOT of work, but I'd have no problem getting rid of both anachronisms.

No it depends whether you value the rule of law or not. Trump is a criminal besides being unfit for the office.

Hatch walked back his "I don't care" comment about Trump criminality calling it "irresponsible". Yup...you are an irresponsible, senile old man Orrin, a solid representative of your party which is dead and going.

The GOP is so obviously the party of old white men. Well the good thing about that is that they will soon DIE and so will the GOP. Its in its death throes now.

This government has not existed on Laws all these years. It has existed on Norms. The GOP has decided to break them all, started by Newt and spurred by Donald, in their death throes they have given up on the country. Goodbye old men. See you on the other side.

Anybody who believes Hatch’s “walking back” is an idiot.
