I remember several years ago when the right was trying to stop various "immoral" things such as porn, song lyrics, etc and the left were all over them and now the situation is completely reversed with the left telling us what we should watch and listen to.

This is just one example of many. We just had a thread on the song "Baby It's Cold Outside", the left try to restrict the free speech rights of everyone they disagree with, are tearing down Confederate statues, and are waging a war against Christopher Columbus for God's sake. Those are just but a few examples of the left going bat crazy everywhere you look. Now we've got yet another thread where New York State is trying to force gun registrees to give up their social media passwords before being approved for gun registration.

I hated when the far right tried to legislate immorality then, and I hate it even more to see the left similarly following in their footsteps.
That's what this is about to me... the left's willful show of hypocrisy.

I think that is probably my biggest complaint of the liberal left - their total hypocrisy at just about every level. Many of them complain that Trump wants to be a dictator and yet over the last several years, the left have done nothing but dictate to others how they should live their lives and shut down anyone who disagrees with them. They even shame and intimidate their own side whenever one of them doesn't tow the liberal politically correct line.

Wasn't the whole point of the song to make Eric aware of the non-verbal consent and give him the courage to act on it? She couldn't consent verbally, and consent doesn't have to be verbal, even now. That major plot revolved on getting Eric to Act on his romantic impulses without the option of verbal consent anyway. That was the challenge in the movie... Non-verbal communication. Apparently a lot of people could use a primer for that now-a-days.

Now, cutting the song in the show because they were pressuring people into kissing, i understand and respect that. /shrug Do what you want it's your show.
