Why Bruce Springsteen thinks Donald Trump is going to win again in 2020

His take on 2020: Trump will win because the Dems don't have any leading candidates to go up against him.

I worry he's right. It's not just about leading candidates. It's about the Dems sucking all of the ass when it comes to political strategy. Their best argument is usually that they're not as bad as the last GOP idiot to break everything. And they're usually right in that regard......it just isn't much in the way of political currency.

My sentiment exactly. Like two mafia gangs shaking you down and choosing which one you want to pay extortion money to.

Not really. You were making a personal attack on him in order to disparage what he said.

Disagree. Nowhere did Hay disparage The Boss, he just made a reference to the possibility that his statements might be a reflection of his mood at this particular time.

Also, there does seem to be a tendency among Democrats to think that they've discovered the perfect celeb candidate at first glance, only to find later that they don't pass muster, and our side does tend to be apathetic in the voting department compared to Republicans, with this past midterms being the only noteworthy exception.
So Bruce might also have made his statement to pull other up short and remind them that this is no joke, and that Trump is a serious piece of business we have to attend to.

But I did not sense any personal attack on Springsteen at all.

I really do resent the situation. If things were more political stable, or shall I say sane, I'd have little trouble voting third party. But the choices I've had to make lately..... ugh..

The only way to make third parties a meaningful reality is to support them, but that can cost so very much at certain times.

We agree. Some try to say Mr Sanders was a kind of third party trying to subvert the Hillary Campaign. That's when I knew the Democratic Party was no longer my party.
