Did Sarah Sanders share a doctored film of Acosta incident?

All your points are spot on. It's understandable that someone could be so out of touch with reality that they'd spew so many lies. But the real problem are the millions of Americans who have no shame.

I just can't imagine what the children of these hateful Americans think of their parents after being taught to tell the truth, then watching them vote for and support a blatant liar. Do they still respect their parents? Maybe Trump supporters never teach their kids not to lie or maybe they just they don't care if their kids look up to a serial liar...

But conservatives have a completely separate recent history.

If they taught that history to their children, trump didn't lie at all.

It was the "fake news" people that lied.

This alternative history is probably the most dangerous thing to our body politic.

How can we find common ground when we don't even agree on what happened in the recent past?

It won't be long before we start hearing that Acosta punched that intern. That will be a "fact", like "a liberal sent ricin to conservatives" which I have seen here from more than one poster.

It is really insidious.

Because it is a crime in the minds of those who repeat it.

But a crime that never happened.

I agree with you on all those points, but that doesn’t mean Trump was wrong in this instance. He wasn’t. If we criticize Trump for everything just because he is Trump then we aren’t taken as seriously when we criticize him for things that actually merit criticism.

I am sorry, a liar is a liar and there is nothing you can believe that comes out of his mouth. That is one of the negatives of being proven a liar, nothing is believed even if true. That is why a person has to make a decision in his life whether to lie or not because once that decisions is made and people are exposed to one or the other, you will be branded like that for everything.

But this wasn’t a case of truth vs lie. It was a case of whether or not an ACTION was justified.

If that's how the world worked, it'd be a quiet place.

And Trump was referring to the monument debate.

What's the difference between a spoken lie, a written lie or a video lie?!? Speaking a lie is an 'action' too. Sad watching people bending over backwards coming up with excuses for this Un-American administration...

Keep in mind that it was the White Supremacists that were rioting in Charlottesville. As such, read it yourself.

FALSE. There were all kinds of people at that rally and so his statement was probably 100 % accurate. I know liberals are close-minded and intolerant, but believe it or not- there are some fine white people in the South!

I criticize the administration when they do something worthy of criticism and give them credit when they do something worthy of credit. Granted, it is a hell of a lot more of the former. It is what separates partisans from nonpartisans.

That fat pig Sanders needs to be fired...Maybe indicted for her lies

The video in no way alters the context or content of what happened. If it was a football game we'd call it "instant replay" but since it involves Trump it's "doctored video".

This is EXACTLY why the term "fake news" gets tossed around. There is NOTHING misleading about the video in question.

The endless repeating of a single accidental event was misleading and crude. The aide instigated the contact too. Didn't her mother teach her that grabbing things out of others hands is rude?

Birds of a feather flock together. Anyone that marches with Nazi's are not "fine people" they are scum. And you are damn right we are intolerant of Nazi's and White Supremacists they have no place here and neither do any of the religions of hate.

People who can't bring themselves to criticize the President for calling our free press, "the enemy of the people" is bad enough, but not criticizing an administration for spreading lies, are rightly called partisans...

(this applies to all Trump apologists)

I agree with that.

It may have been misleading if you're a blithering idiot. Other than that, it was a fair and accurate presentation of what happened.

As far as the intern making contact, it was her job to grab the mic and get it to another reporter. She grabbed it because Acosta had decided it was his mic and he wasn't going to give it up.

It is not a doctored video but it is a video of the President's staff (and of course the President) trying to quiet the Freedom of Speech.

What is worse, a knee jerk reaction to someone trying to pull the microphone away or the attack on the First Amendment's Freedom of Speech.

You tell me.

An attack of free speech???? You have got to be kidding me. I think the reason leftists say stupid things on TV is because liberal drones simply repeat them here without applying any critical thought whatsoever.

It was a press conference and he was asking for an answer to his question and all he got was vitriol. Trump is our employee and his behavior is grounds for dismissal. Didn't that aides mother teach her that grabbing things out of others hands is rude?

LOL You said "critical thought". :lamo

Acosta asked about Trump's characterization of the caravan as an "invasion". Trump answered that.
Acosta asked about the video of the fence jumpers. Trump answered that.
Acosta decided he wanted to debate Trump's answers. Trump told him he was done.
Acosta kept pushing his agenda. The intern tried to get the mic. Acosta pushed her away. Trump ripped Acosta a new asshole.

Acosta was wrong for his reaction. Calling what he did assaulting a woman is stupid.

This shows how petty we have become both sides playing Twister to justify their exaggerated version of a non event.

No, it was not justified. The press will always attempt to ask questions that are uncomfortable to the President but that is their job. If someone goes over the line, they should still be treated for what they are "reporters asking questions the public wants to know the answer to"

Other Presidents ran into this same problem and yet none took the actions that Trump took. When you are the President of the U.S. it is the job of reporters to find out the truth. It is not their job to be courteous and hold back.

Rude behavior and name calling by an employee in the "People's House" is grounds for dismissal. Trump works for Acosta.

You seem to be really, really confused about the definition of "rude" and also about who works for who.

I agree. It was not an assault. He was rude and dismissive of a woman attempting to do her job but that is probably how arrogant A-holes like Acosta treat all people they view as inferiors. But again, he did what he did because she was a woman. He would not have behaved that way were it a man attempting to retrieve the mic.

were those fine people in the south in the group of White Supremacists that were attacking and that killed the young lady? If they were, then they made a horrible choice to be in that group, don't you think?
