Why did Trump fire Jeff Sessions? Help me understand

I was over at Breitbart reading and came upon the news that Trump was letting Jeff Sessions go. The article listed many of his achievements, and from what I can tell, he was tough on illegal immigration and he facilitated measures that put Americans first before immigrants. He sounded like Trump's type of guy, so why does Trump want him gone now? I dont understand.

Because Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation instead of protecting Trump by making it an investigation of the Trump Administration and by the Trump Administration.

That' pretty obvious.

Trump disregarded all that, and because he was pissed off at Session's not recusing himself, which, in his mind, was the reason for Special Counsel, he fired him to replace him with a Trump lackey in order, or so he hopes, to put and end to the Mueller investigation.

But, methinks Mueller has all this planned, and has an ace up his sleeve, etc, maybe some sealed indictments on the ready, etc.

One thing is certain, although any report by Mueller must now go through Whitaker, Trump's new lackey, who will likely shelve it, all Mueller products can be subpoenaed, and will be, when dems take over in January.


All hell is going to break lose when dems take over. I'm looking forward to putting a check on that moron's presidency, he's doing the US great damage, and the correct thing to do is quarantine him, he does not have the will of the people.
 
Trump ought to nominate the smartest AG to hold the job in the last forty years and one with unquestioned integrity

President Trump has been unhappy with Sessions for quite some time.

I’m pretty sure his goal was to hire the stupidest AG with the least integrity.

The only requirement was absolute loyalty and commitment to shut down Mueller.

Sorry? Does anyone in the Trump Administration meet that mark??? They are all a bunch of corrupt psychopaths who don't believe in morals or the role of government in society. The ones who did, already left.

what are reasonable gun control advocates? pushing laws that only further restrict the actions of law abiding Americans is not reasonable no matter how many times you claim it is. "reasonable gun control" targets people who misuse guns or are proven dangerous if armed. Most of us support that

I don't know anyone in his cabinet or inner circle personally. Friends of mine in Indiana say Pence is a man of high integrity. do you assume anyone who isn't hateful of Trump has no integrity? BTW did you vote for any GOP candidates this time around?
 
Marijuana stocks jumped up, and support groups rejoiced on the news that Sessions is out.

You could start with Mattis, toss in Kelley, Pompeo and Wilber Ross and Ben Carson. All of whom have more integrity and credentials in their little finger than certain posters here at DP

Now why dont you go ahead and list the 'corrupt psychopaths' that you claim exist...
