Please let us know any obstacles or anything that made things go smooth, whether it be absentee, early, overseas or just going to your local polling station.

Let's hear how it goes.

I am no good at starting polls, yet.

Maybe someone could start a poll starting at easy and fast all the way down to turned away.

Mine is good and super easy. I work near the early voting place. First day of early voting a few weeks ago I walked in and knocked it out. The downside of the great turnout is parking near work sucks pretty bad lately.

This year is my first experience voting by absentee ballots. I am absolutely shocked at how easy it would be to commit fraud with this system.

You are having a hard time making a poll asking about how hard of a time people had at the polls. :)

I live in the middle of nowhere with terrible net access only on my phone, and I am gadget illiterate...:(

Please elaborate...

I don't even know how to vote early. I live in a very rural area and I doubt that the fire station ten miles away is open any other day than election day.

Maybe the county seat, but IDK...

Check with your county clerk's office. That's who usually puts on the election.

I have yet to figure out how to swipe the Mrs's ballot and voting it w/o her finding out and killing me. Please enlighten us on how to do this easily. TIA

Yeah it's straight to the clerk and recorder's office for us if we vote early (absentee). I did mine by mail and well mailed it. Next day the mrs did her's and told me did you put extra postage on the envelope? I'm like what!?!? No, ****. Went to the clerk and recorder a few days later and they had it... they keep an envelope with cash to cover the extra postage for all the people like me who can't be bothered to read the instructions on how to fill in dots (and apparently how much postage to use). To my credit I did weigh the envelope before mailing it and it was under an ounce, it was an oversized envelope though.

Please elaborate...

I'm sent a ballot in the mail, and then I send back a ballot with only my signature. How do they know that someone else isn't filling it out? What if I get a ballot for a previous resident?

Hide the mail from her.

Mine was very easy. Our early voting location was on campus so I just went in between classes.

Well that does sound easy enough except if the previous resident showed up to vote and was told that they had already voted. Then an investigation would take place, it would be tracked back to your address and it would be proven that you forged a signature and charged with a couple felonies.

Hell of a gamble for one vote don't ya think?

Sure would be, but how often does that happen? I'd imagine not very.

Sent from my HTC phone. Instaurare omnia in Christo.

I would think that if a person were sent a ballot that they are an active voter.

I can't speak for you but personally I would never take that kind of risk for one vote.

Well east coast polls will open in about half an hour, anyone standing in line or seeing lines?

So how are the polling stations going, are they running smoothly?

Here in Wisconsin we already have record turnout and it appears to be young voters that are really showing up.

I went at 7:30 AM this morning and already the turnout was larger than normal, here in SW VA... especially for a midterm.
