The division that exists in the US, and what will be its outcome...

Conservatives could just leave. And we city folk are funding those ****hole rural areas. Let's start with providing them roads and electricity, the two biggies.

But yes, the entire world could do without the rural isolationist backward knuckle dragger population. Unfortunately resettling the right wing trash offworld is impossible more because of physics than politics.

Negative adjectives and raw emotion. Two immediate and easy to see identifiers of propaganda.

How many do we have here in this small post?

let's count....5....

What is funny they can't help it. been doing it so long it is now force of habit.
Fortunately for us, it is so very easy to see and identify for what it is.

You can't be offended by it or even take it seriously.
Just tune it out like we do a commercial break on TV.
They are very similar except the TV commercials are written by professionals and some are even funny.
Propaganda of this sort was written a very long time ago by radicals in a sleazy bar in the backstreets of Russia.
It shows.

Extremists, either Left or Right, are easy to spot, they rant and spew hate while calling anyone not in 100% with their delusions the enemy. Most are a complete waste of time on sites such as this and rarely last long because they have little control over their emotional outbursts. Kinda sad when you think about it but I have never seen anyone ever manage to change their wrapped POV. Oh well.

It is still a good idea to answer their radical rants with a reasoned and thought out point.
Not for their benefit, but for anyone else sitting on the fence.
It will give them something to ponder and research.

The radicals CAN change their point of view, but it will never happen over the internet.
The internet is just a sounding board for reinforcement of views.
...always looking for high numbers of LIKES from people they will never meet.

I live in Ma. Your liberal parent so to speak. Yeah as far as cali, love the feces in the streets and syringes. The images of leftist utopia there are breathtaking.

It's a huge relief to know that due to where you live, your vote never counts.

I'm sick of that mentality. It's okay to have or be opposition. But in our political climate too many view opposition as the enemy rather than someone who thinks differently.

Literally everything you said is wrong. Almost no blue states at all are on the list of top states with meth labs.

Like I said, no wonder you don't want to move to your Red state paradise. They're actual ****hole countries.

Wtf are you talking about. Ma is under epidemic drug problems. Thats not an opinion its fact. If you deny fact you go on permanent ignore.

Hmm is that why Trump is president?

An electoral college thwarting democracy is why trump is president.

Regardless, your electoral college rep threw your vote in the trash and voted for Hillary. Like it or not.

The electoral college is our democratic process. Only eneducated people dont grasp this. Similarly your rep voted for my guy along with the rest of the electorate that voted the will of the people.

You were shown to be full of ****. MA and CA are nowhere near the top ten states plagued with drug problems. Those are the facts. We're done here. You have nothing else to say. Begone. Welcome to ignore - I struck first.

The electoral process is as undemocratic as they come. It's designed to give the minority more power than the majority. It needs to go.

We are The United States of America not the State of America. Each state runs its own election. You have not been educated properly in civics or you wouldnt have said what you just said. In a democracy we could vote to remove you lefties from our nation. Do you still like the populat vote?

Bwhaahahahahahaha.... eneducated? Look at you failing to claim an intellectual high ground by falling flat on your face.

No. The electoral system is a representative process. Not democratic. So you might want to read, I dunno, anything, before you lecture on others' on how, ummm... eneducated(?) they are.

You should've probably put "and" between "more" and "you" as well as "on" between "go" and "permanent".

Spell check me in this section once more AND you go ON permanent ignore.

The way you worded it makes you sound kind of "eneducated."

Will that do it? Please say yes.

You are permanently ignored for being a grammar troll.

Did you not look at a map of the election by county? State? You want that little bit of Blue in the highly populated area's to run the country... Hmmm

The fact that the majority of progressives flock to and have created those blue areas is just more evidence that this divide that exists in the US population is something that has been an ongoing process for quite a long time. And that being said, it does seem only a logical consequence that eventually it is likely to lead to a definite separation of the nation into a number of strongly distinct political entities.

One possible solution to all this is simply (perhaps not so) to give the states themselves even more autonomy than they already have. I'm not sure what all that might include, but obviously it also means a reduction of federal authority, which would mean that a President such as Trump would have less say over those parts of the nation where they disagree with all that he and (his party) stand for.

I'd prefer that the blue areas be their own country and the red areas be a separate nation.

We don't have to live under their backward values and the right wingers can drag their knuckles as they see fit and live in the past.

LOL if I hadn't put his dumb ass on ignore already I would torment him with some spell checking.

Hello to everyone here on this forum. This is my first post here. I participated in another political forum on another site, but it recently closed down. I have a question that I want to ask for opinions on, so I found this forum and my first post here is to make this thread and ask the question:

What opinions exist here with respect to where all this deep division in the US will lead to? I know that many of these divisions have existed as part of US culture or society for as about as long as the US has existed, but with the Trump administration there appears to be a new depth to it all, especially now that even the media has been dragged into the fray. Trump's declarations that much of the media is "fake news" or the "enemy of the people" has taken the rhetoric to an all new level.

Anyway, I don't think there's any need for me personally to say more here in the OP, as I believe the idea about what I'm asking about is quite clear. The reason that I'm asking the question is that I certainly think that there is reason for concern as to where or what this is going to lead to. However, perhaps some here might just laugh and answer that there's no real reason for concern; that this will all pass and things will calm down soon enough.

I think Rome will fall once again. I think Rome needs to fall. This much hate cannot be worked out. A war, some sort of pandemic, or natural disaster super volcano etc. will thin out the population. Those that can work together will survive and move on and those full of hate unable to work with others will go the way of the dinosaurs.
