This video from Financial Times Published on Oct 23, 2018 shows how President Trump may become a "World Historical Figure," embodying the "world spirit for a moment."

Many of our peers in the Forum think trump will go down in history as the worst President ever.

However, this presenter thinks Trump may actually have the last laugh on this idea.

I personally agree...

Interesting video. Trump may very well be an historical figure for the reasons stated. I doubt it will be in a good way. Whether he will have the laugh is also in doubt. I hope not.

AKA A cult leader.

Sure.

AMLO in Mexico...Bolsonaro in Brazil...other nationalist leaders throughout the world...and the common citizens who place them in power...are all nothing more than "Trump Cult" members.

I think Trump has already made history, but not in a good way. He's proven the founders worst fears of an unqualified charismatic figure beguiling the populace and attaining the Presidency; Federalist 68. In less than 22 months he's destroyed the precedents established by George Washington on how Presidents should conduct themselves and the Office of President of The United States; precedents observed (by and large) by all subsequent Presidents … until Trump. He's proven that by continued lying about and attacking, even perceived or potential, opponents he can keep ALL opposition off balance. He will go down in history and the history books will have to place an asterisks beside Nero's name because he took so much longer to achieve this level of discord.

He may very well have the last laugh. I'm beginning to wonder if he "was" kidding when he said "we'll have to give (dictatorship) a shot someday". He already has a violent and radical group of followers calling themselves trumpenkrieg that would support a Trump dictatorship AND Trump, I'm convinced would accept it, if it were ever possible. Trump would abandon the Constitution and over throw our Government in a blink of an eye if he thought for a moment he could get away with it; he has that kind of ego. I'm afraid his laugh would be short lived because if he was able to establish himself as dictator it would throw the world into chaos like it's never seen before. I believe that he will never get that chance; our Constitution will, in ANY case, hold the fabric of the USA together.

It's always possible. But likely isn't the word I'd use.

Trump is a national embarrassment. He's the winner of a "giant douche" or "turd sandwich" election. He plays on the very most hateful and base instincts amongst humans. By almost every account he's a dolt who can't even sit still through serious briefings. He's great at vilifying people. And pretty much nothing else.
