Jewish leaders tell Trump he's not welcome in Pittsburgh until he denounces white nationalism

The visa overstay issue should also be aggressively addressed. That has nothing to do with whether the wall would solve the other half of the problem.

Overstaying the visas is actually over 2/3 of the cases and rising. But you don’t hear much about it. You know why? Because it doesn’t make for as good a show and as much drama. Our paychopathic racist friends actually like seeing young children ripped from the arms of their despairing moms. Brings a smile to their faces. That’ll teach all those brown people not to seek refuge in white people’s country.

Trump, his supporters, and the synagogue shooter all show support of the stupid theory that Soros is funding a caravan. The right wing has also attacked him as a nazi and nazi collaborator. The anti semitism is everywhere. Calling him a globalist is added insult given the history of the word.

Correction: Some members of the right wing have indeed attacked him out of hatred of his Jewish roots, including the Pittsburgh shooter. But that is not all, nor would I argue that it is a majority or even a plurality. And if it is your claim that the evidence that Donald Trump is a Jew-hater on the basis that he despises George Soros, I would argue that the evidence remains nil. I criticize George Soros for funding and promoting terrible social policies that can and often do hurt people if and when pursued. But I do not attack him for being a Jew or a Nazi collaborator, or any other such nonsense.

If you can't open your eyes to the anti semitism that has caused the deaths of 11 people, then that's a huge personal problem that I recommend you learn to overcome.

Let us be morally serious, SheWolf. When did I claim anything to the contrary that antisemitism was at play here? The shooter's antisemitic beliefs caused the deaths of those people. But you cannot then go and say that any criticism of the progressive mega donor George Soros is automatically antisemitism or fuels antisemitism. Sometimes people who criticize George Soros are antisemites. Most other times, they are not. To try and make the elision as you appear to be doing that criticizing George Soros is proof positive of antisemitism is a poisonous slander and will only further the divisions in this already fractured country. George Soros is a figure who has donated vast sums of money to political causes that many of a non-racist bent would find repellent or wrong-headed. Again, criticism of George Soros is not automatically antisemitic any more than criticizing Sheldon Adelson is automatically antisemitic. You have to take every case of criticism and the person who levels the criticism individually, and cannot simply dismiss anyone who shows a high degree of antipathy or distrust for Soros as a Nazi. Not if you wish to maintain any sense of intellectual honesty.

By all means, go after employers. I've been saying that over and over. BTW, who has gone after them? Did Obama?

Nope.. neither George bush..nor Clinton..nor Bush senior..nor Trump.

Hmmmm...

They come here because they live in corrupt countries. .

they come here for jobs. If they cannot get work here.. they will not come.

Its not an excuse.. its a fact.

https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...say-trumps-not-welcome-in-pittsburgh-until-he

A group of Jewish leaders told President Trump that he is no longer welcome in Pittsburgh until he denounces white nationalism following the shooting at a synagogue there over the weekend.

Eleven members of the Pittsburgh affiliate of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice penned a letter to Trump following the Saturday shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue.

“Our Jewish community is not the only group you have targeted,” the group wrote. “You have also deliberately undermined the safety of people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities. Yesterday’s massacre is not the first act of terror you incited against a minority group in our country.”

At last someone has the guts to call this bully out for what he is. The other day at a rally he called himself a nationalist. From there to being a white nationalist is not a long jump.

What Jewish leaders said this?

Overstaying the visa is a lot of times a paper work problem. At least they did enter our country legally.

Pittsburgh Synagogue Rabbi: Donald Trump 'Certainly Welcome' Following Tree of Life Shooting

https://www.newsweek.com/rabbi-synagogue-during-shooting-says-trump-certainly-welcome-after-jewish-1191747

Rabbi Jeffrey Myers told CNN that he didn't blame any specific group of people for the shooting, because hate “does not know religion, race, creed political party.”

Trump expressed the possibility that he would visit the Tree of Life Synagogue in the coming days. While some rejected the president’s visit, Myers welcomed him to the city.

“The president of the United States is always welcome,” he said. “I’m a citizen, he’s my president. He is certainly welcome.”

That's the vast majority of cases. But it's hard to get racists excited about bureaucratic, paperwork problems. Drama, like tanks and soldiers and big walls and crying children being ripped from the arms of their mothers are a lot more appealing to Americans. That's the only reason that angle of the issue is being stressed here. That's how you win elections in racist countries- give the base what they want. It's like reality TV. This is what happens when you elect a reality TV star to the presidency. They are not going to be big into paperwork issues. That's not what sells.

As long as that is how you view opposition to illegal immigration, then no productive discussion is possible.

Most of the people with paper work problems are trying to comply with the law. These people forcing their way into our country could care less about our laws and have no intentions of legally entering this country. If they are not granted asylum they will just break the law unless we forcibly stop them. They have chosen to be lawless and should suffer the consequences of those with no respect for our laws.

You're not being honest with your response or approach towards me. Nowhere have I ever said or confused that simply criticizing a Jewish person for any reason whatsoever, is anti semitism. I am smarter than that. I have never implied that, and I have laid out common right-wing anti Semitic attacks on Soros, and you flippantly dismiss it. If you can't separate partisan criticism of Soros (he is trying to buy the political system, as if, right wing donors aren't doing the very same thing) versus anti semitism, then that's going to be a problem in talking to you.
